Visited as part of a wedding party, beautiful gardens and warming staff. We were allowed to check in early which helped us prepare for the day, room was perhaps a little small for the cost and the plug in the smaller sink was blocked however I would revisit as this minor inconvenience easily fixed.

A splendid old house, set in superb landscaped gardens, with easy parking and well sited to tour this lovely area. Our room (premium Superior) was spacious and well equipped and we were well impressed by friendly, well trained staff throughout.
The resturant is somewhat idiosyncratic with not even residents able to book a time or a table. In fairness, this created no difficulties on our visit although ordering drinks and each course from the bar/reception would not havebeen our preference at a hotel of this quality. Nice food, well cooked and neatly presented.
If we stayed for another two nights (as we certainly will if in this area) then we might eat in one night and dine at one of the other excellent loaal restaurants on the other.
A nice stay and good value.

Just arrived home from Milsoms Hotel in Debdem. What a great place. Rooms are nice and very functional with a great 'dustbin head' shower over the bath. The bed was to die for. Over my 59 years I have slept in many beds and this was probably the most comfortable of the lot. We purchased a bottle of wine to drink out on the patio last night, and the setting is really nice. The food being served looked wonderful, however we had been eating and drinking all day at the nearby Le Talbooth, which is part of the same chain and travel to it is by way of a chauffeured Range Rover, and again the drivers who were actually female were very pleasant. I am completing a separate report for the lunch restaurant. We will most definaly return as I could not fault the place, and the breakfast was also 'top hole'. Many thanks to all involved, especially Lauren, who organised our room early to enable us to support an early start for lunch. .

Room Tip: All rooms seem of a very high standard - so no real issues there. It should be noted there there are...

We had to split the weekend between the Pier at Harwich & Milsoms at Dedham as neither had a room for two nights. We got the best of both worlds and found both had their strenghts yet were clearly run by the same, professional, company. Very busy on Sunday afternoon, only to be expected on a bank holiday, and yet our room was ready for an early check in, smiles all round. Professional staff who managed to provide solutions when they didn't have exactly what we were looking for Tapas was an inspiration and Eggs Benedict on Brioche another. Very relaxed and a great place to stay & so near Le Talbooth!

Room Tip: Think of eating in Le Talbooth it's almost within walking distance

What a great place to celebrate a romantic anniversary. The quality of service is so professional and friendly, the emphasis we found was to relax and enjoy each others company. From the relaxed check in, the lovely room overlooking the Vale and a great value Bistro menu. Nothing seemed too much, the helpful night manager and his enthusiastic "apprentice" ensured my Wife and I got beding that did not affect her allergy to feathers. Such a lovely and laid back breakfast. Than you, class tells,
