The church is down a side road, and is in a lovely setting, its beautiful inside, and there is a school nearby, where we could hear children playing, just lovely! Def worth a visit.

St Marys church is most definitely worth a visit if you are passing Bibury. It is a quintessentially English village church and the people of Bibury are very lucky to have such a beautiful building.
If you are walking through the village or visiting the trout farm it's only a 5 minute walk away and has some really interesting headstones and beautiful stained glass.

Not religious might I add but my girlfriend and I wanted to get into the community and festive spirit during our Christmas break.

We attended Midnight Mass (Christmas Eve) and Carols on Christmas Day. Both were lovely services and weren't too long and dull. I also am not a fan of being preached at and that wasn't the case. The services were about reminding us of the story of Christ and various songs.

The church is a lovely building during the day and night, internally and externally.

Worth a visit I'd say. And if you have a reason like our Christmas visit you'll be quids in!

A peaceful place, with some interesting features: originally Saxon with plenty of Norman, too. Features in Simon Jenkins's 1000 Best Churches in England.
