Stayed 2nd wk in July, village is very busy on a weekend and busy during the week but cottage is on the quiet side, away from the bustle. Great location, within a 5min walk of the centre. Great for touring the Cotswolds and then a walk into the village after 5pm for a meal and drink when the busses etc have gone.
Can't fault the cottage, easily the best we've stayed at in twenty years.
Nice quiet pub with food nearly next door.
Plenty of footpaths leading out of the cottage for walks. Will definitely be on our list of places to return to.
fantastic, spacious spotlessly clean cottage situated down a quiet lane within a 5 min walk from the centre of a beautiful village. (the photos on the site do not do this cottage justice)
The owner Lynsey is the perfect host and very obviously takes great pride in making your stay as perfect as possible
I would recommend this cottage to anyone planning a stay in this part of the Cotswolds
We booked this Cottage the very same day we arrived. Lynsey the owner was extremely helpful in getting the cottage ready for us, even down to the milk in the fridge and the box of my favourite chocolates. The minute we stepped through the door I was in awe of this place. We spent 4 nights in the cottage and to say we were comfortable is an understatement. I love everything about it, I love the warmth of the carpets on the stairs, landing and bedrooms, the log burner which was built up for our arrival, the comfortable bed, the beautiful kitchen, lounge and dining room. The village had an array of quirky shops, pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, you are spoilt for choice. The walks from the village are well documented and easy to follow, the walk from Bourton on the wold, passing lower slaughter and on to Stow on the wold was a beautiful walk and well worth the effort when you arrive in the village of Stow. We caught the 801 bus back which brings you right back in to the village. Lovely we're Slsughter is one of the prettiest villages I have ever been to.
To sum this up, an amazing cottage and village and I don't want to go home.
Our youngest daughter lives in Bourton on the Water, so when our other daughter and Granddaughter visited from Australia we decided to rent a property in the village so that we could all be close. When we arrived we were thrilled to bits on the layout ,the décor and, well, basically everything. The situation of the property is ideal and there was nothing that we needed that wasn't there. Would recommend this property wholeheartedly.
Jasmine cottage was a beautiful cottage in a great location for walking into Bourton on the Water as well as exploring other parts of the Cotswolds. The cottage was very well equipped to a high standard with great attention to detail.
Our family have just returned from spending a weekend at Jasmine Cottage. This cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. I would certainly recommend this Cottage to anyone, stunning inside and out. Thank you to Lynsey for letting us stay here. We will certainly be back.
We have just returned from our second stay in the fabulous Jasmine Cottage having been hugely impressed last year. What stood out originally were the levels of cleanliness, the attention to detail in the decour and furnishings and the superb location that makes exploring this stunning part of the country an absolute pleasure. 12 months on and the cottage looked and felt as fresh as it did the last time, which is a real credit to the owners and the care they clearly lavish on the place.
If you're looking for a typical Cotswold character property with the comfort of modern living, I cannot recommend Jasmine Cottage highly enough. Just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bourton on the Water and no more than a 40 minute drive fron anywhere in the Cotswolds, you quite literally have everything on your doorstep.
If you are looking for a holiday cottage in this beautiful part of the world, I seriously wouldn't bother to look anywhere else, we don't intend to!
