We booked Honeystones so we could enjoy a big family Christmas and we had such a fantastic time! From the moment of booking to the end of our stay I couldn’t fault anything. The house is stunning and really beautifully decorated. It was really well equipped and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy 2 big christmas lunches! The only thing that was missing was a clothes airer, which would have been handy. The house was spotless on arrival and we were welcomed by a bottle of prosecco and chocolate cake - fantastic! Super comfortable beds and gorgeous bedding. Great location too, 10min walk into Bourton and 5 min drive into Stow.
Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a ‘home from home’ in the Cotswolds!
Our party consisted of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies(age range 5 weeks to 71) and the house was an excellent choice. We used all 5 bedrooms and as it was a modern house there were no hazards ie uneven surfaces, steps from one level to another, so once we had moved some lovely ornaments up high we were able to relax. The garden was also a good size and shape and the toddlers were able to run around easily. All rooms were furnished to a high standard and the kitchen was well stocked. Bourton-on-the-Water was also a very good choice as a holiday destination for our group. We fed the ducks every day and also visited the model railway exhibition (Toby loves trains), Birdland (we all loved watching the feeding of the penguins and the dinosaurs), model village and Motor Museum (particularly good on a rainy day as each room had something to amuse the toddlers).
Cottage was lovely, good size - 2 x living areas and big garden. We did a walk to Lower & Upper Slaughter from the cottage. Town is nearby. Really enjoyed it.
