What a wonderful hotel! On arrival we were offered an upgraded room by the reception staff who were so helpful I thought I was a VIP guest. The location is great, right in the heart of this delightful village, parking is no problem and the restaurant which is about 50m away provides really nice traditional food at reasonable prices. All in all, a really nice hotel with lovely staff, 10/10, highly recommended.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
At the Chester House, if we have an unsold 'best' room we will always try and upgrade our guests at no extra charge, our policy is, there's no point in a 'best' room sitting empty :-)
We look forward to seeing you both again soon.

A great location. Cute village. Ideal for short and long walks. Food good and sourced locally. Staff very attentive. Felt slightly pressured into choosing dinner/breakfast time on arrival. No need for this as nature and situ of hotel one wouldn't abuse. Walls quite thin, could hear neighbours, but nothing untoward!

Lovely hotel where the owners are clearly making a real effort to get it right for their guests.
Whilst not quite 5 star, we enjoyed a great weekend in the Chester house. Clean, pleasant place with high quality food and wine.
Will certainly come back.

We spent a girlie weekend in Bourton on the water staying at the beautiful Chester House hotel. We stayed in rooms 6 & 10 and from the minute we checked it was the most relaxing weekend ever. The staff were very polite, helpful and totally made our stay spectacular. Thank you to everybody who made my birthday weekend so special. we'll definitely be back!!

Just returned from a superb two night break in the Cotswolds. Chester House was perfectly situated in the centre of the beautiful village. Parking was good and we were made to feel very welcome by both ladies on reception. We had booked a superior room which was beautifully decorated and situated at the back of the hotel. Our meals both nights in the Croft restaurant were delicious and the atmosphere and service could not be faulted. Cooked breakfast is not something i normally bother with but here at Chester House it was delicious and most definitely showed off the good local produce from the area. Thanks to all staff for making our stay so special. I have already recommended you to several people and we will definitely return for another relaxing break when passing down your end of the country!!

Finally getting around to writing a review for Chester House Hotel. The hotel is located just a stones throw from the centre of the village and lovely (village and hotel). From the minute we arrived to the ,minute we left the staff were brilliant, they put us in what I'm sure was their best room, really spacious, clean and comfortable heaps big enough for 3 - need space for a teenager and associated mess! The breakfast each day was great and the meal at their restaurant -the Croft I think - was fantastic. I would so love to visit them again and hope to one day but since we're in Australia that might take some doing.

Thanks Chester House for your hospitality - the duck is still with us and has since been to Paris and Hong Kong.
