Booked as a base for a nostalgic holiday as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. The cottage is absolutely perfect for a group holiday, in decor, finish, and location. The owners, Margaret and David, couldn't be more pleasant or helpful, and the whole experience was totally flawless. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again; it was a wonderful holiday with the best of friends.
Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Welcome Cottage. Perfect for the 12 of us. We lived in the conservatory which was spacious, bright and warm for a fresh April. The rooms were all beautifully clean and tidy. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The cottage (albeit some referred to it as a mansion rather than a cottage) was well equipped and modern despite its period features. Loved the space available to our group. Would definately recommend and hope we will return in the future. Thank you to Margaret for her help and answering any queries we had ahead of our trip.
We had a big family get together and Welcome Cottage was just perfect for us. It’s a wonderful old house, full of character and extremely comfortable for a large group. There is lots of space to spread out, a beautiful sunny conservatory, plenty of games and books for bad weather and a tv in almost every room. It’s very well equipped and was spotlessly clean for us. The owners were helpful and communication with them was faultless.
Location is ideal, a few minutes walk to the high street with it’s shops, cafes and other attractions.
We had a wonderful time celebrating a big birthday at Welcome Cottage last weekend. The sun lounge is a delight and such welcome warmth on an extremely cold weekend; in fact the whole of the cottage was comfortably warm and very well equipped.
The perfect setting for a weekend of celebrations for friends and family. Everything you could need, all the space needed for everyone yet still cosy.
The cottage is situated in walking distance of the town of Bourton-On-The - Water. The walks around the town are lovely and we visited an excellent family pub on the main street called The Mouse Trap. The cottage was beautifully appointed with everything that you would need for your stay, a big conservatory and fairly adequate parking. Rooms were lovely, beds comfortable and ample bathrooms/showers for a large family. Although it said 'no pets' Margaret and David agreed that we could bring a dog, which my family were very happy about. We would love to visit again.
Welcome cottage was very welcoming indeed!
Everybody that stayed with me commented on how lovely the place was and how well laid out it was. Lovely furnishings and great entertaining spaces made for great New Year’s weekend.
It is also in a very central location To the town centre so getting anywhere is very easy indeed. No need to worry about running out of booze! (Or eggs)
