“O dear. £10 for 15 minutes entertainment. Rip Off.”

This is basically a few train sets kept at the back of a toy shop.

Now don't get me wrong as the sets are actually amazing and beautifully made (and must have taken hours) but unless you are a real model enthusiast this is not actually that exciting.

You do get to press a few buttons and trains go round, but my son was bored within 10 minutes (and he loves trains!). I also found the staff quite abrupt and rude as they kept coming in and telling us 'no photos or videos' - we didn't even have any cameras out!!

Considering it cost over £10 for a family of four, and we were there for 15 minutes this works out at £40/hour for family entertainment!

So my view is if you are a real train or model enthusiast, go in. But go on your own (£2.75) and don't take your camera! If your not that fussed - don't waste your money!

The Model Railway in Bourton-on-the-Water was on my husband's to-do list being a rail enthusiast. We paid £2.75 each to enter. Loved the carnival / fairground setting of the first model setting complete with night lighting and working rides including a carousel, bumper cars, Ferris wheel and teacup ride! Lovely little village scenes put together nicely! There were only 3 model villages and we were really expecting to see a little more for the entry price. Liked that you could start the trains in various places by pressing buttons and seeing the trains in action in each model setting!

It is also a model / toy shop which was well-stocked so you can purchase that additional piece for your collection after a visit! You can go around this attraction in 15-20 minutes. Of course if you’re a rail enthusiast you could spend longer being mesmerised and getting pointers for your own model railway!

I think it was £2.50is each. We played with the exhibits for a while but to be honest, it was a bit boring. For railway geeks really.
