We had a wonderful stay in this lovely inn. After driving in the rain and dark, Corrine greeted us with a smile, help lug everything to our room and brought us mulled wine & mince pie in our room. Bedroom was very comfortable. Had a delicious hot breakfast the next morning before we headed out. Had dinner at The Rose Tree which was amazing! I would definitely stay again if we were to return to the area.

Was very disappointed with our stay, had room 15 which was supposed to be superior, beneath someone’s bathroom, you could hear everything, they did in bathroom, which they went at midnight, 3.am, 4.30 and then got up at 6.30. Room opposite us number 2 is under bedroom and said the same, heavy footed male. Not their fault , room should have had noise deadening insulation beneath floor. Windows didn’t open, view was of car exhaust, that was nearly in room,
Shower mouldy, curtains hanging off rail, and damp around window. Explained that was light sleepers down was told that people would be asleep early.
At breakfast told corrine, giving them a chance to address the complaint and she replied oh sorry and walked off, tried to explain, but said ok thanks for telling me, probably used to saying it to customers, not very good costumer service. Having had a three star hotel myself, was astounded, would of handled a genuine complaint better.
Breakfast was suppose to be amazing, but carton, orange juice, not fresh, no cream for coffee, no cold meat selection of continental breakfast, cooked breakfast ok but just average .
No lounge, so just had to stay in bedroom, used rooms to make bedrooms, to make money, instead of comfort. No staff after 6.00pm, hope never a fire there.
Outside just car park, no where to sit.
Would avoid staying here, husbands birthday stay , spoilt .
So address issues people keep telling you, please.

Room tip: Do not stay, try somewhere else, room 15 and 2 very thin floor to above room

FAKE REVIEW. Trip advisor removing shortly as this a complete misrepresentation of our guest house. Just a customer looking for a free stay

We had a fantastic stay at the Landsdowne Guesthouse to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Such thoughtful touches of wine in the fridge and lovebird 'swan' towels on the bed. The breakfasts are lovely and the portions are just right. Corinne & Gemma are delightful hosts and make you feel special.

Room tip: If the guesthouse if full, parking on site could be a bit tricky, though there should be a space for each room.

We enjoyed one night at this lovely guesthouse. We were met with a very friendly greeting. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Plenty of tea & coffee available. The breakfast was really great and there was plenty to choose from. Great service… The guest house is in a good location, just a stroll away from the centre of Bourton on the water. Fab place and I would recommend to anyone!
