“Fabulous Comfortable Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Lavender cottage was a wonderfully comfortable place to make our home base for our adventures around the Cotswolds, with two small children. For us as an Australian family visiting England in this beautiful stone cottage was a great experience. Kitchen and bathroom was modern but rest of the cottage had great character, good lighting, lovely heating, quality sheets / towels and the extras in the kitchen provided by the owners were very thoughtful. Highly recommended.

“beautiful cottage in a beautiful location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Cottage is small and compact but with a lovely cosy feel. Clean and well equiped with all that you need for your stay. Stairs could be difficult for someone with mobility problems but ample hand holds. Small courtyard /garden was lovely for sitting out in. Very close to the village with all the amenities that you could need. We had a wonderful time staying here.

“Lovely week in the Cotswolds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

A quaint and homely cottage, it felt like a home from home with good quality furnishings.

Lavender cottage is close to the centre of Bourton on the water and yet affords a peaceful retreat. It is ideally placed to explore by foot, bike and car.

“Fantastic and perfect location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Just stayed and it was perfect. Good location near the river. Very clean and well presented.

Used information pack and walked to the Slaughters and Naunton. Cycled to Stow and Slaughters.

Access to walks from cottage were ideal.

As cottage so well equipped we only ate out twice in the week we stayed.

“Beautiful home away from home in a lovely location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Beautiful and very comfortable cottage in a lovely location. The owners had gone to great lengths to ensure that our stay was perfect.

On arrival we were greeted with a well stocked fridge containing wine, juice, milk, water, butter, fresh coffee, jam, ketchup. The cupboards were equally tempting with teabags, bread, a variety of cereals and an assortment of condiments. There was fresh fruit in a bowl and several treats/snacks.

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy with lots of throws and fleecy blankets to snuggle up under. The beds were very comfy and there were plenty of big fluffy towels.

Centrally located in Bourton-on-the-Water but in a very quiet and tranquil setting. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for us but if it had have been we would have made full use of the delightful garden area.

Prior to booking the cottage, Hilary, the owner was really helpful. She went to the cottage and measured the available space in each bedroom to ensure that our daughter's travel cot would fit. Having left an item of clothing in the washing machine, Hilary alerted us to this and posted it back to us, declining our offer to pay for postage. She even washed it again for us. Hilary also arranged for us to have an early check-in and a later check-out which was much appreciated.

We can highly recommend this cottage and the service is first class.

Liked best: The location and the excellent customer service
Liked least: The stairs were a little awkward when carrying our baby up and down but this was a very minor issue and one that we were fully aware of prior to booking
