“Wow, what a room.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Booked the luxury en-suite room. This room is situated over the basic double rooms. It is enormous. One of the largest king sized beds ever. two chairs, a 32" tv with dvd player.A writing desk with yet another chair. All this plus an en-suite bathroom. It doesn't really get much better than this. The room was a couple of pound more than the basic room and worth every penny.Marco met us at our car and insisted that he carried our suitcase up the stairs into the room. The following morning breakfast was served in a conservatory.A short wait for it but well worth it as it was freshly cooked and tasty. This was definitely the best accommodation during our tour around the Cotswolds.

Room Tip: Get the luxury en-suite

Great location, very peaceful but minutes walk to restaurants. Great parking, comfy beds, spotlessly clean, huge breakfast, tremendous host what more can you want. I was travelling alone and was made to feel very welcome.

Broadlands Guest house is at a nice location if you wish to stay at Cotswold. Bourton-on-the -water is a great place (Stow being the other option) if you want to visit the Cotswold, and Broadlands guest house is just 2 mins walk from the town centre. This b&b is very basic, no frills. The rooms are small but have been maintained and are clean. A limited English breakfast is served. The host-Marco is warm, but unavailable most of the time. Overall good value for money, but don't go there expecting much.

Stayed here for 2 nights just this weekend & had a fantastic time. Trip was a surprise for mum's 60th birthday. Every aspect of the stay was perfect. Marco couldn't do enough for us & was just great at keeping our surprise a secret.
We booked 3 different rooms (family suite, kingsize & a twin). All were clean & well presented. Beds were very comfortable & had all amenities you could want.
Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options & even when we made up our own versions of what we wanted each morning it was never any problem.
Location was great. About a 3 minute walk to the centre of Bourton on the Water. Wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

Room Tip: Rooms 2, 8 & 10 all great. 8 & 10 in courtyard. 2 just up main stairs overlooking courtyard...

We stayed at Broadlands in May for 5 days, our first visit to the Cotswolds and we would certainly recommend the guest house to all, a warm welcome from Marco our host who was very friendly and showed us to our fantastic suite, we had room 12 in the courtyard. Very comfortable with king size bed very comfy, large TV, two arm chairs in an immaculate clean room which was very large. Breakfast is early compared to some hotels we have stayed at - 8am to 9am but excellent service and a good choice, plus you don't want to miss a minute in this beautiful part of the country.
The guest house was just a short stroll from the local attractions and restaurants, cafes and tea shops and of course a varies of small local shops selling everything you need in the way of souvenirs.
We would certainly suggest a trip to the motor museum and Birdland at either end of the High Street which makes is essential to stop to browse the shops, have a delicious ice cream or pop in for a 'cream tea' a MUST. If you want to venture a little further afield we found 2 excellent National Trust properties just a short drive away, along beautiful virtually empty country roads with all the hedgerows in bloom ---Snowshill Manor the home of Mr Wade is a must so interesting you will not be disappointed and Chastelton House is also a must set deep in the country side is a lovely walk from the car park through the meadow and is open every day from 1pm which gives you plenty of time to look around the gardens, we was treated to tea and cake in the church next door by the local ladies what a pleasant afternoon sipping tea in the middle of the graveyard birds singing sun shinning and the waft of wild flowers you could not get any better than that for a wonderful trip to the Cotswolds.
We shall certainly be returning.

Room Tip: Our courtyard room was excellent but from other guests comments all rooms are clean and well appoint...

We stayed here over the last May Bank Holiday weekend. We had a kingsize double room, which was extremely comfortable and very clean. Having stayed in some very expensive hotels around the world it's refreshing to find a place that takes such pride in the service and comfort of its guests. We were greeted very warmly by the proprietor who took great care to ensure our stay was pleasant. I would highly recommend the Broadlands as a wonderful place to stay when exploring the Cotswolds, the room was perfect as was the service.
