“B&B's don't come any better than this.”
Reviewed 22 July 2012

We visited Holly House last year in September when Jayne and David had recently taken over Holly House. We had a superb stay. We visited again this year in mid July for 5 days staying in the Windrush room. We were not disappointed. Jayne is the most friendly and welcoming host you could wish for, where nothing is too much trouble. Our room was excellent. Gorgeous king size bed, nice big bathroom/toilet with lovely fluffy towels. David's breakfasts were a joy to behold. Loads of choice both in cereals and fruits for starters and also for the full english. It really set us up for the day ahead. Holly House with Jayne and David really is the benchmark for what a first class B&B should be about. You are made to feel special and really wanted. We will definately be visiting Holly House again in the near future. Well done Jayne & David your excellent reviews are richly deserved.

We had an excellent stay last month at this small but homely, characterful, stylish, comfortable and super clean BB right at the heart of the picturesque Bourton-on-the-water, one of the best places to visit in the Cotswold, matched by the best hosts Jayne and David. Super lovely Jayne in particular fussed over us and made our stay with our two American visitors to the UK most memorable highlighting our unsurpassed experience for the Diamond Jubilee weekend! My husband and myself would love to go back and stay with them once again to explore other parts of the Cotswold. Highly recommended.

On arrival we were greeting with tea and cakes. Then shown to our room which was the larger room within the small sitting room. Lovely room with small fridge in the sitting room and flat screen tv. Went to a friends wedding at St James Church Longborough. Returned to get ready for evening party and Hyde Barn Fosse Way. I asked Jayne could she order a taxi. To our surprise Jayne's father offered to take us to the evening reception. As taxis are almost non existent we were trying to get one home at 12.30 am and phoned the house to see if they could give us a tel number. Jaynes father came to the rescue again and collected us from the hotel. Amazing customer service!!!! Breakfast was great. I would recommend this B&B to anyone, they could not have made us feel more welcome or comfortable

Upon arrival we were shown to our room - very comfortable and clean. The Hosts were out walking the dog so we didn't meet them on the first day. As we were leaving early to go to the Tattoo we would miss breakfast and asked on our way out for a pack breakfast instead. Felt like we were the first to ask for this kind of thing. This consisted of a bacon sandwich, a boiled egg, a couple of pastries and a banana and apple. Bit disappointing to be honest.
Breakfast on our second day was very nice indeed. Great location to the village - very easy walk and the village is wonderful.

We had a lovely welcome from all at Holly House. Really felt it was home from home so cosy. Lots of little touches that made it so special including card and chocs for my birthday. Plenty to see and do from this base and would really like to go again.
Well done to all at Holly House and thank you.

Room Tip: Sherborne room over looks a pretty garden

Nice quiet location, within walking distance of the village centre. Received a lovely welcome from Jane with Tea and homemade cakes on arrival. The rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was superb (you must try Dave's scrambled eggs- thank you for sharing your secret recipe Dave). Excellent hosts cannot do enough to please. We read the reviews on this B and B before booking and were not disappointed. Had a great weekend lots to see and do whatever the weather! Also no problems parking up at night with ample parking spaces.

What a lovely welcome we had from Jane. After showing us round we had coffee and delicious cakes in the sitting area. The house was spotless, the room cosy and comfy. Breakfast was lovely the scrambled eggs a must( thanks Dave). Plenty to see and do in the area could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Naunton at the top of the house.
