We stayed here on a warm weekend just for one night in the Notgrove suite. The bedroom was spacious and spotlessly clean and had a small lounge with a 2 seater sofa and tv and mini fridge. The bathroom and toilet was small but again spotless. The bed was superb and has made us want to go and buy a new one for our house! The room even had a tablet you could use and the breakfast was also very good. Jayne was lovely and was very friendly.
There was a lovely walk directly from the B&B into Bourton which only took 10 minutes and in the other direction you could walk to Lower Slaughter across the bridle way.
We would definitely stay again if we were visiting the Cotswolds and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at Holly House on a short break to the Cotswolds. We were astonished by the care and pride Jane and David took in looking after their guests. We were offered a cup of tea and cake on arrival, cupcakes were available for guests to help themselves to at any time, as well as port! Our room was very pleasant and cool on a hot day, a good size, with an enormous Super Kingsize bed (great for my 6'3" husband) sporting lovely, high thread count bedlinen, and an amazingly comfy mattress. The bathroom had been newly installed, I should think, with lovely modern appliances and tiles, squeaky clean. There was a mini fridge, iron and ironing board, also flatscreen TV, chocolates, peanuts and a wide selection of hot drinks in the room, also plenty of bottled water. Breakfast was a lovely selection, maybe too much choice if that's possible.
We will hopefully return, as this is a wonderful base for any trip to the Cotswolds, many thanks to the hosts!

Room Tip: The Rissington is a good size, airy room and can be a twin, or a Super Kingsize. At the front of the...

We stayed here on a beatiful and warm weekend. They only thing that topped the weather was the wonderfully nice and thought ful approach of the owners - simply put it was perfect. It is so great to see people do well when they know what they are doing.
The rooms were really good (maybe not my choice of colour) but the beds were really good quality with really high quality sheets and towels - you hardly ever see this quality even at a 5 star hotel).
They gave us great advise on things to do and places to eat .... everything was absolutely spot on.
The breakfast too was perfect and an absolute delight.
Cany wait to go back ... what a treat !!!!!!

Room Tip: If there is a room free you wont go wrong .... hard to believe how right they have got this Book ea...

We stayed at Holly House for three nights. Lovely hosts. Rooms comfortable, spotlessly clean and most importantly really good nights sleep in their fabulous beds. Will definitely stay again. Bourton on the Water is just a short stroll away. A lovely village. Visit the local perfumery and join the tour, very interesting even my husband enjoyed it.

Room Tip: Stayed in two roms (3 people) on 1st floor front of house. Slept like a log and did not notice any...

We stayed at Holly House in early June 2014 for 5 nights. We chose this B&B after reading other reviews and found all those complementary comments to be absolutely true. This review might turn out to be a short novel as there is so much to commend to you.
Our hosts, Jayne and David, were both very friendly and made a great team. Jayne did the “front of house” and David made a great job of cooking breakfast, but more of this later.
Our room (the Notgrove Suite) was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The room had a lovely relaxed feel and the lemon walls and mirrored furniture made it light and airy. The separate lounge with a sofa to relax on and maybe watch TV after a long day out was a real treat. The small fridge proved very useful for keeping all our holiday essentials (beer, chocolate and wine) at the right temperature. The king size bed was fabulous and we both had the best night’s sleep that we have ever had away from home. The shower suited both of us with a waterfall (for hubby) and an adjustable showerhead and both types were powerful. Hot water was always available and seemed to be immediate (how do they do that?).
Now on to the breakfast side of the equation….. Fantastic! The menu is mouth-wateringly good and also flexible. We could choose different combinations each day and always got exactly what we ordered. There are even daily specials options if you need further temptation. The breakfast/garden room was just lovely and the tables all set beautifully. I particularly loved the little pots with lids holding just the right amount of preserves for your toast – no half empty sticky jam jars here!
Holly House is in a good position, being close to the village centre but away from the noise of a bustling tourist attraction. The footpath down to the village made for a pleasant evening stroll and we ate in a different place each night.
If you stay for only one night, you will be very happy, if you stay for more, you will not want to leave. Truly excellent!

This is the best B& B we have ever stayed at.
David & Jane are fantastic hosts.
Beautiful breakfast cooked by David. Jane the perfect hostess. The best service and spotlessly clean.
All modern and fresh.
Easy walk to town centre , to the most beautiful little village.
Would recommend this as 5 star.

A two night stay in this highly recommended B&B lived up to expectations. Rooms were very well appointed with no detail overlooked. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and hot options cooked to order. Jayne was the perfect host even presenting us with a bottle of wine having established that it was a celebration weekend. The location was great. It was a short stroll into Bourton for a wide range of restaurants whilst a slightly longer walk in the other direction took you to Lower and Upper Slaughter. Just perfect for a grown up, child and dog free weekend away.
