“Excellent food and great venue!”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

Coco Bistro never fails to impress. We were a party of 6 and all had excellent meals. The atmosphere is great, the price range is good and it was a bonus to find a £15 for 3 course deal that applies Mondays and Tuesdays!
All in all we were well looked after and had a lovely evening.

“New Year Spectacular”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

Fabulous evening with equally fabulous staff shame the same can't be said for upstairs. Wonderful meal perfectly cooked and subtle service from the waiting staff. Another great meal at this little cheltenham retreat. Thank you and Happy New Year.

“Great French food in cosy surroundings”
Reviewed 20 December 2013 via mobile

Nipped in here for early dinner with friends. We were late and the restaurant still made room for us, even during Christmas party season. The food was tasty, well presented and the service was unobtrusive but responsive. Although not cheap it was good value for the standard of food served. Would definitely return.

“Don't order the steak!”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

I came recently on a Saturday night with 8 friends as we had read the good reviews on tripadvisor. Most of us ordered the steak. When they arrived we noticed that not only were they not cooked to our liking either too rare or not rare enough, the meat was so fatty for those that ordered rib eye it was inedible. Such a shame as the other courses were all very nice. Great cocktails though and good atmosphere. Have reservations about coming again.

“Distinctly average”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Main courses were great...most of us had steak and found them to be rather delicious. Service in the restaurant was impeccable, by people who clearly had a passion for their jobs. That's it for the positives i'm afraid.
We had to pay for our drinks bill in the bar before we could move to the restaurant. We were told by the waitress that this was to stop people leaving without paying for their drinks but later discovered it was because the bar and restaurant are 2 separate businesses. So, when we wanted some whiskies after our meal, we had to leave the table and go to the bar to pay for them, as the restaurant and the bar had different drinks offerings. Rather bizarre.
For starters, i ordered a charcuterie board but was amazed when it arrived and was dominated by a huge slab of pate and 2 thick slices of boiled ham. Not quite the charcuterie exoerience i was hoping for.
We may give Coco another chance but we won't rush back.
