From the minute you arrive you feel wanted, valued and truly welcomed. The staff were outstanding and their service was spot on. Attention to detail was everywhere. Excellent massage and the borrowing of boots and jackets from the boot room is a great idea. Food in the brasserie was really good with some nice Argentinian mal each wine. Would highly recommend it.

We had lunch in the brasserie which was good, unfortunately the TV in the bar after displaying the day's racing (which was at Cheltenham and completely appropriate to display) was then left blaring out a football match, followed by come dine with me. Both were rather intrusive and seemed at odds with the surroundings.

I suggest the TV be limited to racing or relocated to the opposite wall so that it does not face the dining room.

The hotel staff were excellent. The refurbishment has resulted in a superb looking building and gardens.

WOW!!! A stunning hotel. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you feel like Royalty.Beautiful accommodation set in a fabulous location. Excellent Service from friendly, helpful Staff. We had Dinner in the Brasserie, which had a lovely ambience, and food very good. We made use of the Gym,and Spa area....would recommend the Hot Stone Massage.

Having stayed in many hotels throughout the World, it is great to find one which is SO good all round.......and especially as it is in England! Cannot wait to return.

We stayed for a weekend this past summer. Everything about this hotel was magnificent from the staff, to the food, to the pool, to the grounds. Simply Breathtaking. We found the hotel to be very accomodating for our family, as well. My husband and I were travelling with our three young children. We were never made to feel that our children were unwelcome. For me, the highlight of the trip breakfast served poolside. Our children wanted to swim on the morning of our departure. Despite the cold temperatures, we obliged. The pool was heated, which was nice, and there were lovely bathrobes for all of us to use. I highly recommend this hotel for families, couples, and anyone else, really.

I have only had one glorious night at Ellenborough Park, but it remains a dream to cross the world again to go back there! We had been through a difficult 24 hours with all sorts of things going wrong, but from the moment we arrived, life turned golden. The staff were so calm, reassuring and kind that we were immediately soothed and taken care of. Our room, in the tower, was quite extraordinary in its grandeur and glamour, and there is no doubt that it was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The brasserie and dining room produce magnificent food and drinks, with a huge range of options to excite and satisfy the most exacting connoisseurs. In the morning, I went for a run across the beautiful grounds, across paddocks and down to the racecourse. It was glorious, with a light mist curling around the hills, and the giant horse sculpture standing in front of the hotel looked quite surreal as I came back up to the hotel. Then I went for a swim in the heated pool, and wandered back to our room feeling quite relaxed. After a sumptuous breakfast, we wandered around the grounds and the hotel, marvelling at the history of the place and the tremendous care that has been taken to restore it to its former glory and add sympathetic buildings to provide very modern facilities. I also had massage in the serene spa and came out walking on air. All in all, it was splendid!

Room Tip: I didn't see any other rooms but am sure that they are all as fantastic as ours was.

Wonderful buildings with views across to the Racecourse
Fantastic food in both restaurants for dinner and a great breakfast offering
The standards of this hotel are exceptional, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are treated as a valued customer but without stuffy service - polite, efficient and friendly with a high level of professionalism
The rooms are fabulous and it is a pleasure to just walk around the public areas and the grounds - if you are staying in Cheltenham for just a visit or the races then stay here for the experience and the luxury

All the staff look like they thoroughly enjoy their job and will do everything possible to make your stay memorable. Everything has been thought out to create a stay that you wont forget. I will be back at every opportunity.
