We had a delightful stay at Ellenborough Park recently. It is a well kept country property close to the Cheltenham Racecourse. Our room in the main building was very comfortable with a spacious and beautiful bathroom. Huge walk-in closet. Great turndown service and we were very happy that there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room as we were touring and coming in late at night. The weather wasn't the best when we were there so we didn't make use of their outdoor pool but another couple told us that the pool was heated so I guess we could have done that. They had a terrific breakfast with lots of selection and we had an excellent meal in the restaurant. When we had friends come to visit they provided a very nice (though pricey) afternoon tea. The only difficulty we had was finding the place. Our GPS wasn't working and nobody we asked in Cheltenham seemed to know where it was. Turns out it has only been operating under its current name for a year or so. Now that we know how to find it, I would go back in a heartbeat. Next time we will make use of the spa and pool.

Wonderful spa, treatments are all really well done. Staff are really pleasant, food and drinks took almost an hour however an apology and a complimentary bottle were offered straight away. Robes etc and general cleanliness was good, felt welcome and comfortable the whole day, will go back.

Visited Ellenborough Park for a weekend break of relaxation and that is exactly what we got!
The hotel is beautiful and all the staff were very helpful and resolved a couple of minor queries we had very quickly and efficiently.
We had a room in Ellenborough Gate with a huge rolltop bath and lovely views over the race course. The room was huge and was very pleased to see they had a separate dressing table with a mirror and power points for hair dryer/straighteners (something that often niggles me in other hotels) by the bathroom. The bed was huge and so comfortable!
We ate in the brassiere one night and the restaurant the other and both meals were lovely and even booking the week before we were due to arrive we were able to get the times we wanted.
The spa was slightly on the small side but as the weather was so fantastic we spent most of our time relaxing round the pool with a cool glass of prosecco!
Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

A thoroughly fantastic week, with every need prethought and prepared. Saw the beautiful countryside and thought wouldn't it have been great to have brought the walking gear... No worry, warm and comfortable boots, socks jackets available. Wifi without hassle. Restaurant superb. Personable and dignified approach from all those working there.

We visited with our 2 week old baby and found nothing was too much trouble and all facilities thought of eg a baby bath and nappy bin was put in our room. We had lovely dinners and breakfasts and the pool was lovely too.
