My wife and I have stayed for 4 nights at The Bradley after seeing all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Our expectations were fully met and surpassed. The attention to detail given by the owners is way above normal. The room was huge and the gramophone and the four poster bed were nice touches which gave the room a feeling of stepping back in time. A fireplace was also included....
Location is great and the city centre is within a very short walk. Parking is not a problem with ample on street parking (free of charge due to a parking permit provided as part of the stay)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4 which was great but we are sure that all rooms are up to the same standard.

We stayed for a weekend with friends. we were greeted by the owner and immediately made to feel welcome. lovely touches like fresh milk in a fridge to make tea and coffee. Beautiful room with period furniture. Our room was towards the top of the multifloored building so might be a problem if you struggle with stairs, but otherwise excellent.

Room Tip: Be aware that some of the rooms are up many stairs.

Stayed here for one night, very well decorated period property located in Montpelier right in heart of Cheltenham. Website advertises on-site parking, this is not absolutely accurate as you may find you have to park on the street, majority is meters and double yellow lines! Some rooms are right at the top of the building which up a number of flight of stairs, so consider getting lower level room if you have mobility problems or young children. We had room right at top which is a double but a small double therefore think the room rate should be a little revised, room was very hot and bed wee bit too soft for our liking, however facilities in room are good e.g. bath robes, good selection of drinks nicely stored in glass jars as opposed to usual small packets. Breakfast was of good standard and sourced with local produce. Lounge/breakfast area is nice and quiet place to relax, not too sure about the choice of music though being piped in at breakfast again not for everyone. Would definitely recommend for a city trip or the races.

Room Tip: Choose lower level room if unable to manage lots of stairs or staying with young children, and make...

Dear Shannon

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

I would like to clarify a few points for you and our other readers....

Our standard rooms are of a good size with king size beds. The price of £88 a night B&B is the cheapest 5 Star accommodation in Cheltenham and only £3 a night more than the chain budget accommodation provider in the centre of town. Our superior and luxury rooms increase in size and facilities, which offers all our guests the ability to choose a room to suit their budget or the occasion for which they are travelling.

Montpellier is a distinct area within Cheltenham and many would class it as the best area within the town, and one would assume that is why you chose the location of The Bradley; as you can park for free and walk to all the local excellent bars, restaurants and shops.

Regarding the heating, we always invite our guests to adjust the simple dial, which we set to medium, at the end of the radiator to make the room comfortable for each personal taste. This is also advised in the 'welcome' book that is in each room.

We do have on-site parking. Two spaces to the front of the property, 3 spaces to the rear, two single garages and a further two off road spaces 15 meters away in the road. We also have a parking permit for all of our 8 rooms to allow them to park on the road outside. Either way parking is not a problem and it comes at no cost to our guests.

When you book a room online, it states quite clearly what floor each room is on and how many stairs you have to climb. We do this so that anyone with breathing or walking problems won't book them; this was also mentioned in your booking confirmation to make doubly sure there are no problems. We are a 160 year old townhouse our pictures and descriptions aim to make this very clear for people booking our rooms. Many people request the top rooms as they can be 'extra' quiet. The warning you give for children is irrelevant as we do not have children under the age of 11 stay at The Bradley.

Finally I would like to mention the breakfast music. It is easy going popular classical music that is played quietly in the back ground, it is not loud, offensive or bombastic in any way. And we are somewhat confused by your comments on this particular matter as regular feedback received is a request to be able to purchase it!

We are glad however you enjoyed the breakfast.

Very Best Wishes

Chris and Sue

On arrival, we were met by the owner, at the front door and shown into this truly beautiful guest house, that is full of character. From the outset, we were made to feel very welcome and were most impressed by décor and ambience.

Nothing was too much trouble for Chris and Sue, who have had the property in their family for over 100 years. They have, very successfully, turned it into a most impressive bed and breakfast in recent times.

The Bradley is located very centrally for restaurants and the shopping centre.

The breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a good variety to choose from. It was all cooked freshly and the service was excellent.

I would greatly recommend this Guest House to anyone visiting Cheltenham.

Room Tip: Our room was situated at the back of the property, which was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom wa...

I have stayed here twice now , and each time the standard has been high , the owners run the hotel professionally but they will put themselves out to help in any way. Rooms are of a 5 star hotel standard , there is a lot of attention to detail.
Ideal location, close by to shops/bars / restaurants but a quiet street.
Looking forward to my 3 night stay in 2 weeks time for the Cheltenham festival!

The Bradley is full of character; it's also kept "in period" and yet has all the mod-cons for a great, relaxing and comfortable break, a great location too.
The owners were really friendly, welcoming and helpful, we arrived late and they couldn't have been more accommodating.
Really tasty, fresh and full breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more.
Thank's

Six us us (three couples) booked three rooms for a single mid-week night in February. I must say that the quality of this hotel and the very warm and friendly welcome by the owners is nothing short of outstanding. Whenever we go away we always look for quality and this place more than meets that requirement.

All of the rooms are furnished to a very high standard and our room (no 4) had a large four poster bed and plenty of room to speed out. As regards the bed it was so confortable we didn't want to get up the next day! The cooked breakfast the next morning was cooked just right too.

The location is ideal for Montpellier shops and although there is no hotel car park, the owners provide you with a free pass to park on the nearby road.

Hard to find any fault, we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Go for room 4; it has a large four-poster bed and a superb bathroom with a walk-in shower.
