This is the second time we have stayed at the Village Mews apartments but this time we stayed in the other apartment. I literally have nothing bad to say about our experience. we travelled with friends for a long weekend away and when we arrived our friends were shocked at how nice the apartments were. Every room has its own little special touch and a welcome pack was provided which contained fresh milk, bread, bacon and a few other bits and bobs for us to settle in nicely, which was lovely as we all needed a cup of tea after the car journey. The cleanliness of the apartment was outstanding, the rooms were all presented to a very high standard and smelt fresh. The location of the apartments are great, there is a pub at the end of the road which does lovely food and also has an outside seating area where you can sit and eat or just have a drink. Within walking distance there is a Sainsbury or lidl and a fantastic food market and if you wanted to have a look around a few shops there is a next and bhs and a few other shops near by. There are many pubs within a very short driving distance and easy access to all attractions in and around Cheltenham, the location of the apartments are fab and i had no complaints. A car parking space in also provided, wi fi and a virgin package.

I would highly recommend these apartments to all kinds or people looking for long term or short term stays, for friends, couples and families.

This will defiantly be my choice of accommodation next time i visit cheltenham.

“home from home - superb base”
Reviewed 28 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have just returned from three nights at 11 village mews following a family wedding - three generations. It is well equipped with such as washing up liquid supplied so no need to buy in (a dishwasher would have been even better though!)
The rooms are as in the photos - although the photos are from two separate apartments; the main difference is that one has a double bed in the large second floor bedroom, the other has twin beds which can be joined. the second floor bathroom does not have a shower even over the bath.
These are small niggles though - the apartment really was a comfortable home from home for us adn we will be returning. Michelle was really friendly and helpful.

“Lovely apartment, everything you could want”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I stayed in Village Mews with my sister, daughter and her 3 month old baby.

The apartment is lovely, spacious, clean and really well equipped. The apartment is fairly new, I would guess no more than 5 or so years old. It is in it's own little complex and stands back from the road. There is allocated parking for 1 car + visitor car parking.

It also has a lovely large grassy area at the back which would be great for kids to play football etc. as it is quite safe.

It is in a busy part of Cheltenham, but very close to main roads making it easy to get in and out to tour the Cotswolds.

The owners were really accommodating - letting us in a little early and allowing us a bit extra time to leave.

There is a fabulous whole food shop about 5 minutes walk away, it's on a site with Sainsbury's, Boots, Hobbycraft, and Next etc.

This apartment is worth a 5 star rating, the only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the stairs - it is on the 1st and 2nd storey, so with the baby equipment it was a bit tricky. However - we managed and it really is a lovely apartment.

I would recommend it to family and friends but perhaps not elderly people who have trouble with stairs.

I would like to thank the owners for their being so kind to us during our stay.

“Spacious, thoughtfully equipped, home from home apartment.”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We spent a lovely week in 11 Village Mews, using it as a base for our crafting holiday. There was plenty of room for myself, my sister, her daughter and her baby granddaughter. With two tables - one in the kitchen and a larger one in the lounge we were able to spread our sewing machines and craft materials with ease.

The apartment is spread over two floors and doesn't have a ground floor. With one large bedroom on the first floor and the other two on the second meant that my niece and her baby was able to come and go without disturbing my sister and myself.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped; with lovely touches like soaps and creams, DVDs, books, magazines and welcome pack of groceries. With everything you need in the kitchen you could cook every day if you wanted - we chose not to and took advantage of the many restaurants in the Cheltenham area.

We couldn't find the DVD player at first - but after reading the TV manual we discovered it tucked in the back of the TV, mind you I couldn't find a hair dryer ether so you probably need to take your own.

We accidently blew the electrical socket trip switch one evening; however, the owner gave friendly and helpful advice to help us reset it. We got the feeling that the owner really wanted us to enjoy our holiday and feel at home.

The apartment is part of a complex, with a communal drive and large gardens front and rear, it has a dedicated parking space for no. 11 and a few visitor car parking spaces shared with other apartments. It is within walking distance of a Beefeater pub and two retail parks, we loved the fact that there was a Hobby Craft store in the nearest and many big name stores spread across the two.

Something to consider particularly if you have a lot of luggage, younger children or people with disabilities - the stairs from the ground to the main living area are quite steep - we struggled a little; however, we did take a lot of craft equipment and materials plus equipment for a 3 month old baby.

Also, during our stay workmen began to demolish an industrial unit on the opposite side of the road and started work quite early in the morning . So although not affecting us, it was reminder that we were staying in a city and late sleepers may find it annoying,. That said - neither of these points detracted from our stay, we really felt at home and would definitely book again.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We have just returned from spending four nights in this lovely house. From the moment we arrived, I knew that I had chosen well. The house was so central to all of the places that we wanted to visit. And all of the extra touches that Michelle included made it a little gem. The house was big enough for an Easter egg hunt for two excited children, but snug enough to be able to relax. We will certainly be going back in the very near future.

“Village Mews is an odds on winner”
Reviewed 13 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Myself and a group of friends have been attending the Cheltenham Racing Festival every March since 1992 and, without doubt, Village Mews is the best place we have stayed at in all that time. We first stayed there last year and again this year. The 2 owners, Tony & Michelle, are very friendly but also very efficient and nothing is too much trouble for them. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and the fridge well stocked with everything we could need, they even went out and bought us some Guinness and Tony collected me personally from the train station on the Sunday - that's service !

The facilities are excellent with super fast broadband connection via Virgin media and multi channel tv which is important to us to keep us up to date with all the sports news.

There were more than enough clean linen & laundry provided as well as all the sundry bathroom accessories.

We've already booked for next year, that's how good it is.
