I would not advise ever staying at this accommodation
Having stayed in many hotels and bed a breakfasts around the uk we have never been treated so rudely and experienced such a vile individual - there are obviously issues going on but this should not reflect on the way paying customers are treated - we didn't even unpack and moved to a more accommodating hotel in Cheltenham.
Being sworn at by the owner is not the way to treat paying customers!!!

We stay here every year for business and would highly recommend it for business or pleasure. It reasonably priced and you get more for your money than some of the local chain restaurants.

The superior rooms and bathrooms are large, clean and comfortable. Each room is individually designed to a high standard and has all the comforts you need.

The breakfast is a good quality with fruit fruits and cooked breakfasts to order.

There is also an honesty bar in conservatory we have used some evenings.

It is a 5 minute walk from Montpelier where there are lots of good restaurants and bars.

This B and B is situated in a very convenient area of Cheltenham and is easily acccessible to the town. The house is beautiful and in a fairly quiet location. Our room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and had a good bathroom.
The quality of the breakfast was good with a lovely selection of fruit and all food was cooked to order.
The girl who served breakfast was friendly, but the whole experience was somewhat spoiled by being told to get out of the breakfast room on a Sunday morning at 10.30a.m. Approximately 10 people were still in the breakfast room at the time and the lady who cooked the breakfast appeared and rather aggresively told us that she and her staff needed to have their breakfast too. It could have been said in a much more pleasant way! Customer service is not the strength here as I didn't feel particularly welcome at any time, but if you are not looking for this then it is a pleasant B and B.

This lovely Regency house, in Montpellier district of Cheltenham, is well situated for all the Town has to offer.
The room was spacious, elegant, spotless and very comfortable. The beds had good quality sheets, and blankets, which was unusual, but very nice.
The bathroom was spacious, and very clean.
The only negative comments I could make, are that the tv remote only worked intermittently(could need new batteries?), and the complementary coffee sachets, were Nescafe. I would have expected a better brand for a 5 star establishement.
The owner was very helpful, and the breakfast was superb.
I'd definitely stay there again.

I booked Lypiatt House recommended by a work colleague in October 2013. Unfortunately I had to cancel the room due to meeting changes, I called 3 days before to cancel and I was told that they appreciated me calling in good time and that they would refund my credit card. It is February now and I have not received my refund, I have called and emailed and they say they will look into it however nothing has been done. Terrible service and is a shame as we would have made sure that we would have been repeat customers. If you book and are forced to cancel, make sure you get it in writing that you have cancelled in good time, calling them on the phone does not work!

We stayed with friends in the Lypiatt in late October 2013. The House is beautiful as were our rooms - extremely clean, beds were so comfortable and we both had a wonderful en-suite large bathroom. The decor is very elegent. The breakfast was good. It's ideally located for Cheltenham being a 10 minute walk outside of the main town but there are individual shops nearer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and if parking allows, you can leave your car on the drive ahead of booking in or after booking out for a donation to charity. The Guest lounge is beautifully decorated and lovely to relax in. This Hotel is a gem and we will return in the future.
