Owner description: Breathtaking, unique and radiating refinement, Pittville Pump Room is Cheltenham’s most spectacular private hire venue. When not in use, come and sample the fountain’s historically medicinal Spa Waters.

A very interesting building with a green dome and pillars. A venue for music festival concerts and other events. Lovely views of the hills.

Attended for a Wedding Reception. Food was quite good, staff varied from very pleasant to rather self-obsessed, drinks were ridiculously expensive, facilities were OK, surroundings were interesting but more could be made of them for guests.

Free parking and as an auction was there to be viewed the building was accessibe beyond its 4pm closing time! Inside it was more a stately home with glorious chandeliers, picturesque ceilings, & a domed roof! We were free to wander around taking pictures. Well worth a visit, with Pittville Park attached!

Well, if you like Regency architecture, you'll love the Pittville Pump Room. But it won't take you very long to explore it, to wonder at it, and to enjoy its pleasures. About five minutes should do it. Lovely to look at from the outside, interesting interior to the dome, decent chandeliers and....er, that's it. Free entry, and probably a great venue for a concert, but as somewhere to spend a few hours appreciating it on building merits alone, forget it. The Park around it is another matter - great for a long stroll, and for children to run off excess energy. Nice lake with ducks to feed (and fish that can sniff out a breadcrumb at fifty yards) a petting corner with small animals for the kids, agreeable cafe. The Pump Room is an historic monument, there's no doubting that - but it won't take up much of your time, and is horribly lacking in any interpretative signs or information once inside. So-so, really.
