“Beautiful”

It's a pleasant park to enjoy a walk or sitting by the lake to chill out in the evening. I just hope there's more sunlight the next time I visit.

“Wonderful space & somewhere to sit and enjoy”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

This is a lovely park with lots to see. A boathouse serving snacks and drinks where the kids can feed the ducks, lots of areas in which to sit and watch the world go by, a golf course a little further on to play or observe, wonderful houses on the approach and in Pittville itself to stare at, and The Pump Room which, unfortunately for us, was hosting a wedding. We have visited twice now and have yet to get inside!

“Elegant open space”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

Pittville Park is a beautiful area cut in half by a road out of town. One side has large graceful lawns sloping down from the Pump Room towards the lakes full of ducks and swans with an enclosed childrens playground that includes large cages for rabbits, chipmunks and birds. On the other side of the road is a skate park, tennis courts, and a further lake, this time with boats to hire and an assault/fitness course. There used to be a small golf course too but I am not sure this is still there.

“Pleasant”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

A pleasant enough park - actually, two parks separated by a road with a narrow underpass. The lakes are enjoyable and walking around is much easier since the previously often muddy paths were tarmac'ed a few years ago. The cyclists who use it as a race track are an ever-present annoyance and danger, and it's a great shame to see the poor birds in the tiny aviary, but in general a real green lung for the city. There's a small cafe some distance from the main areas.

“kids love it”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

Pitville park does have something for everyone. the play area for the children. The skate/scooter ramps for older kids. the lovely café offering hot drinks on colder days and ice creams on warm ones with the home made cakes. The boat lake in the summer. The pet corner when the kids can feed the rabbits, and see the peacocks/parrots and other birds and chip monks/chickens/guinea pigs. then feed the ducks by the side of the lake. huge areas for ball games and then there is the other side of the park with the boat house. Lovely walks along the lake/taking time to watch the fishermen. A little park area on that side too and a summer café. Kids and adults just love Pitville Park !
