I visited Koloshi last week with my girlfriend who grew up in Cheltenham. The plan was to go to some pub called The Reservoir. Much to her surprise, things had changed since she left the area and apparantly for the better! Of course I cannot compare as I have only been to Koloshi, however, 'exceptionally good!' is a phrase that xomes to mind. The interior is well finished with a more developed style to most Indian restaurants. And the food? Absolutely amazing. You have to try it to understand. For starters I had the chef's signature battered king prawns and the duck breast for my main course. Dessert consisted of an interesting dish of fried ice-cream (no idea how but it was done!). After dinner we were advised to try a few after dinner cocktails made by the Bar manager and a trainee. The cocktails were a dream! It's not often you have a very well stocked bar in an Indian restaurant and whilst i'm no stranger to a few pints of Kingfisher, the well shaken drinks were by no means unwelcome.
Overall an excellent evening and i shall be dining here whenever I am back in this part of the country!
