The fourth time that we have eaten in the restaurant, this sunday. There were four of us ranging in age from 23 to 61, and we thought that the service was very good but the meal was average with the beef being quite tough and fatty.
I know the staff dress very casual but this is now tending towards scruffy....which isn't the same !
The hotel is immaculate as ever, and we had a great Christmas day there, but we came away from the restaurant, deciding that we will not be rushing back in the near future....shame that.

First big tick in box - convenient underground car park closely followed by helpful, polite staff at check in. The room was great - modern, minimal, a bit cool and funky with white and warm wood decs - spacious with big comfy bed, big bath in middle of room (which we loved) and good rainfall shower and best of all - at last somebody has updated the whole minibar and tea/coffee facilities thing! (Other hotels please take note!) Complimentary fresh milk, beers, waters and chocolate - just what you need - and a proper size kettle and big mugs to make the drinks in - YES!
Friendly bar staff and efficient service in dining room which has a lovely vaulted, large, buzzy feel to it. Husbands steak cooked medium rare to perfection and delicious puds.
Really reasonably priced for the standard and in the lovely little Montpellier area of Cheltenham - have all ready recommended o friends and we will definitely be returning!

I stayed here with a group of friends and we absolutely loved the hotel. The food was beautiful and the service was fantastic. My room was very spacious,comfortable and stylish fitted with all the modern gadgets, along with a free minibar. Breakfast was great and again the staff were very helpful and friendly, this was a prefect way to end a perfect stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel had no problem accommodating us for 1 night only, on a weekend, which is unusual when most places insist on 2 nights minimum stay. When we turned up early, the friendly and helpful staff were great. We were upgraded to a deluxe room from a standard, and it was spacious, well equipped and very stylish. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom, though compact, was excellent. It was very clean and we loved the rainshower over the bath. The hotel's location is central, easy walking distance from the shops bars & restaurants, yet we had a very quiet night. We also spent some time in the bar, which was buzzing, and the young team of staff were faultlessly efficient and friendly. As you might have gathered - we were very impressed and had a great stay.

The ultra modern appearance of this hotel is a matter of taste, but the service for our business meeting was repeatedly late and slow. The meeting room, billed on the trip advisor description as private dining was actually an airless below ground room with no natural light. They would appear to have spent more on iPads for the wine list than on training the staff. That said the room was comfortable, I just felt that a better all round experience will be available elsewhere for the same or less money.

Stayed overnight with my wife and overall enjoyed the experience. The room (115) was at the front of the hotel in the old refurbished part and was of a good size and generally good value for money. I particularly liked the i pod with all the hotel and area details on it and also the complimentary mini bar was a good touch. I'm not sure how well the feature bath in the middle of the room works but its certainly unusual. The bed was also really comfortable so no complaints there either. On the negative side the light in the room and the hotel in general is terrible and far too dim for me. My wife however thought it was modern and stylish and was happy so its individual preference i guess. I do however like to see what i'm doing when i shave and also a bit more light to adjust the room controls would have been good;
Breakfast was excellent and really good quality with local ingedients, bar service good and staff polite and helpful.
Would stay at the chapter house again in the future but maybe in another style of room.

Stayed at the montpellier chapter this month and couldnt of had a better evening. My friends and I enjoyed cocktails in the bar before our fabulous dinner in the restaurant. Great service, great wine and a room that I thoroughly enjoyed. My feature bath and rain forest shower topped off our perfect stay.

Room Tip: Loved my cresent feature suite
