Me and my partner stayed two nights here as we were attending the Cheltenham Tattoo Convention at the racecourse, little did we know but this was actually the furthest hotel away! To get into town for something to eat is a 45 min walk or a £10/11 taxi one way, same as to the racecourse so if you need to be central, don't stay here! There is a KFC and a harvester next door but thats it. The staff were pretty poor. I asked for a hairdryer and they said they were all being used so check back later, I did - all being used still. Checked in the morning and same story. Paying nearly £100 a night I assumed the room would have a hairdryer. Other staff members were just as dosey and unhelpful. Positives are that the room was clean and spotless, good shower and very comfy bed. Next time I would look for a b&b/different company before choosing travel lodge.

Our stay was great but due to our window being stuck ajar we heard noisy people leaving either the hotel or the Harvester in the very early hours of the morning. Above all a very clean and comfortable hotel.

Only paid £35 for a night, so what would you expect.

Rooms clean with new comfy Kingsize beds.

OK no AC, but I knew that beforehand.

Located as per many other TLs on a roundabout, but we found the soundproofing OK.

There would have been too much noise and smells from Harvester and KFC to have window open which could have kept it cooler, suggest you bring a fan.

Good at £35, perhaps not quite so if you paid £60 for example.

The hotel is picky about check-in before 3pm unless you've paid the extra tenner. Did Ryanair take them over?
Room was clean and comfortable. Good value. Towels but no complementary shampoo etc so don't forget yours!
I paid an extra tenner for 24 hours of wifi. Wish I hadn't bothered as it was really slow. Reminded me of the old days when I used to connect using a modem over the telephone line.
Had lunch in the Harvester next door. Probably should be a separate review. Suffice to say it was ok but worth trying elsewhere if you can.

Dear Pepperp0t, as standard we do not provide toiletries in any of our hotels although we do offer the option to purchase extra toiletries from our vending machines, this allows us to continue to offer great rates in great locations. We are sorry to learn that you experienced issues with the Wi-Fi, we will pass this onto the third party supplier as well as the hotel staff.

Once arriving into the room it was a double bed and i had booked a twin room receptionist took 25mins to get twin room ready getting the correct bedding and leaving the single bed with all the sheets on. Staff didnt even appologise for the confussion and manager in charge just walked and hid around back of reception until we had gone.

Dear Natalie B, we’re sorry to learn about the service you received, which has fallen below the standards we would expect. We understand you reserved a family room for one occupant and our staff allocated you a double room as they felt this would meet your requirements. We do expect our staff to apologise for any errors and provide high levels of service at all times. Your feedback will be used to remind our staff of the importance of customer care.

It costs £5 per night to park. Our room was right over the ventilation plant, so you couldn't open the window because of the noise and there was no air conditioning in the room. :( the reception said the understood my frustrations but could do nothing about it.

Room Tip: Use as a last resort

We’re really sorry to learn you had a disappointing stay with us David W. We do not offer air conditioning in this hotel as part of our brand standard however in an attempt to make your stay more comfortable we do offer fans which are available on a first come first serve basis from reception.
