Went here for a family meal. The food was Lovely and a choice on the menu. Friendly and helpful staff. The pets corner is a nice addition and will be great to eat and drink here as the weather gets nicer. Definitely make time to visit.

I was looking for a nice country pub for Sunday Lunch and found The House In the Tree. Simple Sunday Lunch made Great! Big roasties, thick cut RARE beef (as in, it came out with that lovely pink colour through it), Yorkshire pudding was massive, no need to ask for more gravy and the bowl of perfectly cooked vegetables. All for 8.95 or 11.95 or 14.95...What a bargain!

The rest of the table ALL had the Lamb and commented that it was perfect!

All together 3 fantastic 3 courses and a fantastic 2 course were had ; 10/10

Service was fantastic and I can't wait to return on a nice sunny day (the garden is massive)!

Thank you very much

We came across this establishment having experienced poor service in the beefeater down the road. This is a lovely old fashioned pub, with a range of clientele, mature people, children and bikers! The menu was varied and as it stated, "we don't do fast food, we do good food, as fast as we can." The food ordered was lovely, hot and plentiful. Prices are good value, managers and waiting staff are friendly and attentive.

Immaculate toilets, and generally just a lovely place to visit. Will definitely return.

My husband booked a table for two and a highchair for Mother's Day as this has become our favourite destination for Sunday lunch. The following week we called to add another two people to our table then again the week before to add another one, our table total became five and a high chair (for a busy fully booked restaurant we were surprised they agreed to accommodate this.) When we arrived we expected to be squeezed onto a small table but were pleasantly surprised to have a large table with lots of room. The restaurant was very busy but was very well staffed, the food was quick and hot the service was fast and efficient and personal, nothing was too much bother. The farm animals outside are an added bonus, it just added to the whole experience and we even got to feed the new little lambs their milk bottle!

My only negative is you have to book so far in advance for Sunday lunch... a sign of a good restaurant and worth the forward planning!!
