Visited on a very busy Thursday evening having booked in advance.
Large selection of real ale 5 I think but as they had been so busy only 3 were remaining, however Jail Ale excellent.

Very good choice on the main evening menu and a large selection of specials also available from the blackboard. Myself I had Mussels to start which were fantastic and the beef casserole of the specials again very tasty. No room for a pud this time.

One of the group had a starter called "sliders" which is basically small rolls filled with bbq pulled pork and coleslaw - awesome.

Service quick and waitresses were very friendly, certainly be back in a month or so when the winter nights pull in.

We went for a family meal on my Dads birthday. He prefers pubs to restaurants, so was very comfy here. The menu is good, & the food quality is too. My main of scallops with pea & bacon risotto was lovely. Service was good, & the price - £85 for 4 people. Pretty good.

Went for a meal on the Saturday night which we booked a couple of weeks before our trip to the regency hotel, as we know they get very busy, the food was wonderful and everyone that works there are very nice such a lovely atmosphere, we will visiting soon!

We visited on a Monday evening and received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table without delay. We were glad we had pre-booked as many of the tables were reserved.

Our party chose the rump steaks, with mushroom and onion rings, the steak and ale pie and trio of sausages with mash and onion gravy. All the food was served promptly and was well presented. In addition it was absolutely piping hot - something I am a stickler for! All of the food was cooked to perfection. The steaks were tender, the sausages were local and each one a different flavour, the steak and ale pie contained quality, tender meat. The portions were generous.

We treated ourselves to desserts: lime and lemon cheesecake with cream, sticky toffee pudding and cream, ice cream and home made chocolate Baileys profiteroles. All were absolutely delicious!

There is a small garden area to sit in as well and the pets area is nice for children .

Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.
