Only stayed for one night, but would highly recommend - lovely building, attractive decor, great bedroom, friendly staff and fantastic location.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was lovely and the breakfast more than adequate...all for £68.

A few aspects of our stay were disappointing:
room - the room was very tiny, certainly too small to easily manoeuvre a wheelchair in, and there was virtually no space for packing/unpacking luggage;
disabled access - while the disabled access was effective, it wasn't pretty - entering the building where the rubbish bins and dirty laundry are stored, and the miniscule lift with no emergency phone didn't inspire a feeling of safety;
disabled bathroom - the disabled bathroom was too small for someone with a disability to easily move around in, the the shower door was barely wide enough for an able-bodied person to get in, let alone someone with limited mobility.
There were also quite a number of positives:
breakfast - very nice, cooked fresh to order - dining room could have used a little music or something;
sitting room, honesty bar and library - some very nice touches;
location - excellent;
parking - great parking area if a little tight.
Overall, an enjoyable stay.

We stayed on a weekend night for a company function at the Pittsville pump rooms. The room was large and, whilst on the ground floor, was incredibly quiet with a beautiful freestanding bath. The communal spaces were discrete and just lovely (book and DVD library and honesty bar). Breakfast was scrumptious! A real home from home!

From the moment we arrived the place felt right. Jayne, the owner, showed us up to our room and offered us complimentary coffee in the lounge.
The room was very nice with en-suite bath/shower, complete with lovely soft, large towels (my wife hates rough towels).
The breakfast was 'to die for' with veggie option if required. Breakfast fruit was a bit limited, but that wasn't a problem for me.
Location is fantastic, with a 10 minute walk in to town, and a lovely park just 2 minutes away if you fancy an early morning walk before breakfast.
If I'm being picky, breakfast until just 9am is a bit early, but as long as you're in by then they don't put any pressure on you to leave.
Lovely hotel, lovely hotel owner – well worth the money!

Room Tip: Book direct and try and sort a deal with the owner for a superior room if possible

We truly enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel. The rooms were bright and freshly painted. The linens were crisp and towels were of ample size. The breakfast was delightful, with enough choices to keep the whole family happy. There is a very nice honor bar in the sitting room which allows quests to pour a glass of wine or have a soda and bill to the room.
The location is perfect. Close by a beautiful park and a short walk to pubs, restaurants and stores.

We stayed here for a friends wedding and at £110 a night we were expecting a good quality room. Unfortunatly the room we were put into was very small- we could bearly move round the bed. The shower room had poor ventilation, it was always hot and damp and as a result the shower was quire mouldy around the seams. Friends who paid less had a much bigger room and a bath- though the room had an overpowering smell of paint. However my other set of friend in the same price room as us had their shower in the corner of the room with just a wooden screen to keep thier privacy.
Advertises free parking but this is on a first come basis.
