This is an excellent place to stay for one night or a week. It's not big but the rooms and ambience
created by the owners, Freddie and Rita, are just wonderful.
I have stayed there numerous times since they opened for business and the standard has never dropped below 5 stars.(I know they can't get 5 stars because of the size of the establishment)
The local tourist board gives them the maximum they can gig every year which shows how much
work and care Freddie and Rita take into making this a place where people want to stay.

I still don't know why I am letting others in on the secret of the "gem" that is Burlington House. I have stayed there on and off for a few years, most recently for 10 days over the last 2 weeks, and it never fails to live up to expectations. The rooms are comfortable and of a good size; the facilities excellent; but it is the breakfasts and the hosts that keep me returning.

Rita and Fred are delightful hosts, attentive to your needs but never overbearing. For example, during the recent hot spell (Yes, over 30C even in Cheltenham) a bucket of ice, extra bottled water and a small thermos of chilled milk appeared in my room without any request from me.

Fred also cooks a mean "full English", but my favourite is the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon option. There is even a vegetarian choice for those so inclined.

Whenever I need to stay in Cheltenham, Burlington House is my automatic choice. Thoroughly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was very well presented; breakfasts good; and the travel advice very helpful. Fred printed out some information about a day tour of the Cotswolds for us that resulted in a really good day's outing. The house is on a bus route into Cheltenham - about 10 minutes or so into town; that made dining in town easy as we didn't have to worry about driving back. As with many English B&B's the room was up quite a few stairs but we were given assistance to get our bags up and down so not a problem for us.
