Reviewed 24 June 2012

A very conveniently located B&B, close to M5, railway station and the town centre. Peter and Anne make you feel very welcome, and the breakfast is second to none. I have stayed here on numerous occasions and all the rooms are comfortable and clean. Good value for money, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay in Cheltenham.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a double bed.

Friendly and accommodating hosts, good, big breakfast, clean, large room with modern bathroom. It was an easy walk from the train station and the bus to Cheltenham or Gloucester stops right outside the inn. Very clean. They recommended a good pub for dinner and were very helpful overall. The price was great--good value.

Stayed in the Bridge House B & B for a weekend break at the races.

Peter & Anne plus Betty the dog were very welcoming, the rooms were clean & we enjoyed a lovely breakfast on a communal dining table which allowed us to talk to other guests.

Great location for the station & only a 15 minute walk to Montpelier which had a few good bars.

Overall excellent value for money & would recommend Cheltenham as a place to visit & the Bridge House as a place to stay.

I was looking for somewhere in Cheltenham to stay for two days for a business trip, I first found the Holiday Inn just across the road from Bridge House, the thought of staying in this Hotel was not appealing and also came with an overpriced room rate for the two nights. Peter and Anne were most welcoming and Anne cooked a very nice breakfast, I will most certainy book in here for my next visit to Cheltenham.

Located about a mile from the town centre (20 minutes walk) and a short walk to public transport links this place is well situated. Comfortable accommodation with nicely decorated and furnished rooms (including disabled access), an attractive garden and ample car parking, a large communal lounge and breakfast table with a nice library area and lots of useful information leaflets as well…Anne and Peter are amiable hosts and provide lots of helpful guidance and advice on visiting the local area. I have to say I have rarely stayed in a friendlier guest house – It was much more like staying in somebody’s actual home…This may not be for everybody however and the close proximity to busy main road, dogs in the household and patchy Internet access may put some people off. Some creaking floorboards also proved quite disconcerting…! However all in all it made a welcome change of scene for a short city break.

Thank you for your input. We have had some work done to reduce the floor noise, but as you point out, being accessible does mean being near the main road. Betty, our boxer, is still entertaining those who like dogs and the wi-fi is still variable.

Hope to see you again.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my disabled Dad who occupied a disabled access room on the ground floor - it worked perfectly! Easy access with facilities to assist Dad during his stay includig large 'wet room' ensuite. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, Peter and Anne were extremely amenable and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Liked the small touches including the home made bread and preserves offered, also tips for places to visit as we were staying here to visit the Cotswolds and the A40 provided a direct route out to the beautiful countryside. The only very slight issue was a visitor in the room above mine arising somewhat noisily at 6am every morning, something obviously outside the control of the hosts! I would still stay there again without hesitation.

Thank you for your kind words. It is so rewarding when our disabled facility makes someone's stay bearable. We will have to make sure that you are upstairs the next time you visit.
