“A Great Place to Stay!”
Reviewed 6 October 2012

Stayed as a couple Friday night 5th October. One is assured of a great welcome at the Bridge House. Spotlessly clean, sound sleeping. Convenient location and easy parking within property. Attention to detail and very helpful host. Super breakfast and personal choice.
Loved it, brilliant! Many thanks for making us welcome from Pembrokeshire!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely B&B run by an exceptional couple. Peter and Anne are fantastic hosts and offer a very delicious and hearty breakfast. The room was nice, very tidy, and they do a great job of maintaining the rooms on a daily basis. Top notch service (they are very attentive and approachable) and a very quaint and charming property.

Wholly recommended. I can't fault the hospitality. Room very well presented. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. Very impressive for the low price. I would have no hesitation in using again. Sets the standard for B&B's in my opinion.

I have stayed in B&Bs over the years but this place has a special appeal to me. Not because its simple to find and has ample parking spaces but most importantly the people who work there. I had a desk and for my laptop and the Internet speed was great. If you're interested in the food then I think you will not be surprised at the quality and the quantity. Thanks for making my stay a pleasant one. I will recommend this B&B to all for regular business trips and for visits to the Cotswold.

Just back from a four night stay in Anne and Peter's lovely and stylish B&B. Great welcome with a tray of tea and biscuits in the dining room / lounge and lots of helpful info and a local map from Peter. He carried our luggage up to our twin room which was very spacious and extremely clean. Nothing was too much trouble and they offered us a change of quilts as the weather was hot. The tea / coffee supplies were comprehensive and they offer a flask of fresh milk if you prefer that to the UHT cartons. Lots of local info in the folder in the room, a hairdryer, tissues and very tasteful decorations. The ensuite was very clean with plentiful supplies of everything you could possibly want including wet wipes, flannels, fluffy towels, handsoap and shower gel etc. beautifully tiled too. Lots of storage space, a case stand, a room fan and spare bedding. The attention to detail in this accomodation was well appreciated. We loved the large dining room table which makes breakfast a very friendly experience. A very good choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, Greek yoghurt, orange juice and any combination of cooked breakfast (paticularly nice bacon). Home made preserves and home made grannary bread really topped off a great start to the day. I loved the apple and ginger jam so much I didn't even try any other! The guest accomodation has it's own separate entrance so you can come and go as you please. I loved all the art work and photographs on the walls and really felt very comfortable during our stay. The gardens are beautiful with water features, and plenty of private off road parking. Very conveniently situated quite near to the railway station, busses and shops. Although on the main road (set back) it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The trains run close by but we didn't find this a problem at all. We will be returning to the lovely town of Cheltenham next year so we have already booked in to Bridge House as we were very satisfied with the way Anne and Peter run their business. Well done and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Just spent three nights in lovely Cheltenham and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Bridge House, run by Anne and Peter.
The B&B is a mere 10 minute walk from the station and an easy 25 minute stroll from main town centre.
Peter greeted us with tea and biscuits, before taking our cases upstairs.
Our room (a twin bed ensuite shared with my Mum) was clean and had a lovely view over the garden. Both the bedroom and bathroom were a decent size, so we had plenty of room to move about and storage space. Tea, coffees and other drinks were on hand. Plus the bathroom was well stocked with clean towels and toiletries.
Breakfast was simply amazing - there was a vast array of cereals, with fresh fruit salad, Greek yogurt and orange juice. The cooked breakfast includes scrambled, poached, fried or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomato and mushrooms. This can be requested in any combination and seconds were readily available. My Mum’s gluten intolerance was no problem; Anne and Peter provided GF cereals, bread and sausages, so she didn’t feel deprived. We also sampled the homemade fruits and jams – the blueberry and four fruit marmalades were particularly good.
If you’re planning a visit to Cheltenham, Bridge House is definitely the place to stay :O)

Dear Heather, thank you for your kind review. I'm afraid there may be some disappointed visitors as the blueberry crop was poor so we are running out of jam.

See you again,

Anne and Peter

Good English B & B. Spotless rooms with very conceivable hot beverage including Horlicks and even soft toilet wipes (is there soemthing about Cheltenham I should .know) - bizarre!

A hard might on an inadequate mattress - thonks would the Horlicks have helped?

Good breakfast eggs with homemade jams and marmalades
