My wife and I recently stayed here on a Sunday night deal, spend £75 get a room for £10. We actually upgraded to a superior room for an extra £10. This was very good value and we were very impressed with the size of the room, the bathroom was huge with a large walk in shower and free standing bath. Comfortable bed. The evening meal was reasonable and the service efficient. The only suggestion/comment that I would make is that the wine list lacks reasonably priced middle range wine. There is a house red and a white Chardonnay for around £16.50 the next decent white was a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc at £28 which is very expensive for what it is. More expensive than Gidleigh Park! Why they can't have a decent range of wines for just under £20 is beyond me. They would sell more if the price was reasonable! The hotel is well located and parking for us was not an issue as we were staying on a Sunday evening. Highly recommended would stay again.
