I took my wife to Le Champignon Sauvage for her birthday. Despite being only a few miles from where we live, I cannot believe we have not visited before. The exterior is pretty non-descript not once inside the door and greeted by the excellent staff you sense something special is in store. The service throughout was very good and only surpassed by the food itself. Between us we had beautiful lobster and beef tartare starters followed by the lamb and venison mains. The latter I was slightly unsure of with the milk crumb salsify but that was made for by the exquisite chocolate delice and the extensive cheese board - the best my wife said that she had had.
So, wonderful food, excellent service and at very reasonable prices. We will be back!
