I last reviewed Lumiere in November 2012 so thought it good to write another review just to keep up to date. Have to rave about this lovely gem of a place. Helen is a delight front of house and always has a smile on her face. I love the wine list with her tasting notes. A lot of care is obviously taken in choosing the wines for their customers. The food is still top notch with such amazing ingredients matched together. You can spend all evening just talking about the food! A special place and highly recommended. I have read a few reviews about the service being slow. Well, I like to appreciate the quality of food and don't need anything fast. Not once would I say I was waiting any longer than was perfect for the next course. Portion size really good too!

Google " critical couple lumiere" which will provide an honest and comprehensive review of this fantastic restaurant in a more eloquent and visual content I could hope to aspire to.Service is first class and informative. My wife and I both had the lunchtime 6 course tasting menu which was faultless from start to finish-without doubt the best meal we have ever had.First impression would be at £55 a head is expensive, however you really have to experience the service, surroundings, quality of food and attention to detail to realise it is worth every penny.Goat is a recent addition to the menu which both my wife and had never tasted before .We were a little apprehensive about this however Helen assured us it was delicious and it was outstanding. The tasting menu is so good you become confident every dish presented will be special and it does not dissapoint.Wish we stayed closer.Lumiere will undoubtedly achieve well desereved Michelin star status in the near future.

Recently visited Lumiere for special occasion. We decided to sample the 9 course taster menu. Again we were not disappointed. The taste and presentation is beautiful. Part of the excitement of the taster menu is that you never know what you are going to get next. Excellent suggestion was made for a wine, a crisp white Henry Fuchs wine from Alsace, which even went down well with the sweet courses. Whole evening was unhurried.

This is a small cozy restaurant which can cater perfectly for its covers. The food was out of this world, with lots of attention to detail and extremely mouthwatering. This restaurant needs to apply for Michellin star as it truly deserves it.
