I usually avoid this kind of chain restaurant but it was better than anticipated. Had 2 courses on the Taste of Italy menu which was good value. Decor was pleasant and warm & service was good. I had the meatball starter which was fairly tasty although the meatballs were a little dry as was the bread served with it. Main was chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce with roast potatoes and green beans. The chicken was a little too chargrilled so tasted slightly bitter which was a shame. It had the potential to be a good dish with a bit of tweaking .I enjoyed the starter slightly more. Overall I enjoyed the experience and great location on the Promenade in the centre of town, open all day so handy for a bite to eat after shopping.
