Owner description: The Corinium Museum is located at the heart of Cirencester the 'Capital of the Cotswolds'. Its principal collection consists of the highly significant finds from the Roman town of Corinium. However the museum today is much more than that, taking the visitor on a journey through time and charting the development of the Cotswolds from its prehistoric landscape to the modern day. The light and modern galleries offer the visitor an exceptional interactive experience. The museum is renowned for its learning provision, with an education centre and temporary exhibition space that ensure a vibrant, changing programme of events and activities for everyone to enjoy.

We enjoyed our visit, especially when our son was learning about Romans. Very informative! Lots to discover.

I took my 7 year old Grandson to this museum. I wasn't sure how he would feel about it, but he really enjoyed himself. Lots of activities for young minds to explore, and this adult had a great time too.

A very worthwhile visit to an excellent museum. The museum is well laid out over two floors and the story flows the building without doubling back on itself or losing exhibits in the corners. A very entertaining and educational visit with some very friendly staff.

A really well set up and displayed museum that mostly features Roman artifacts from the locality. It is very comprehensive and well explained.Well worth a visit. The only down side for me was the scant attention given to subsequent periods of history.

This is an excellent museum spread over two floors , the roman mosaics are very special and the wealth of information contained within this museum is easy to understand for all ages.
In particular there are many places for children to interact with the displays or just quite areas for the family to have a break.
Regarding parking there are two small parking areas directly outside the museum , but there are many other parking places around Cirencester that are within easy walking distance and are not to expensive.
