We have just spent two nights here and would definitely return to this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the breakfasts were delicious, and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. We really appreciated the period features and would love to have stayed longer. A very relaxing break, just a short walk from a really interesting town.

Hotel is well placed, slightly back from a main road. We had a room on the ground floor right near the road and it wasn't too loud, even with windows open. Pretty house and pretty spa. Spa treatments are extremely expensive and not worth the money at all. You are best off paying the 25 pound fee to use the spa for a couple of hours only. It's very small so don't need longer than that.
Rooms are a little dated and fusty but generally clean and have enough space. Beds were not comfortable though and neither of our group got a decent sleep.

Room tip: Book direct with hotel. Speak directly to hotel to ensure you are getting what you have booked. Don't book treatments or spa packages.

I enjoy my visits to the spa in the garden. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. All the girls are all so lovely, but I must give Sophie a shout out as she’s always on hand to help with a smile on her face. I’m sure I’ll be back again soon.

On the weekend of 29th of July we held a get together for around 60 of us at This lovely hotel .
On the Saturday afternoon we used the pretty gardens with an outdoor seating area where the staff served us Pimms .
Onto the evening event where we all met for a three course meal which was extremely good and a disco ( which I have to say is the best disco we have ever had at an event so please pass our thanks onto the gentleman who provided us with great music all evening)
From the first moment we met Charla we were extremely impressed with the care she took in arranging our event for us , she went above and beyond to help some of our guests far more than we would have ever expected.
Every member of staff were friendly and professional and made us all feel special .
The hotel itself it’s absolutely gorgeous, the public areas are relaxing and the bedrooms are welcoming and varied .
The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel and we have stayed at many .
We would not hesitate to stay use the venue again and many of our group were going to book to stay here in the future with family and friends.
So thank you Charla and your lovely staff for making our Summer Ball so very special
Dee xxxx

Great afternoon at the spa. Although small, the facilities are lovely and modern so was pleasantly surprised. Staff made me feel really welcomed and my facial was good. Jacuzzi was busy but spa was much quieter from 4pm. Afternoon tea was perfect, staff were really attentive.
