“Incredible food and service”

Me and my 2 friends went to graze for dinner for the first time on Friday. The fat chips were so good! And the salmon dish was perfectly cooked. Also, the service from a lady called Frankie was amazing. Such a stunning girl that loves her job and took huge pride in it. Thanks to all the team, especially Frankie x

“Bright, fresh and consistently good”
Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

Just treated my daughter to lunch. We sat in the garden which was lovely, a little oasis, slightly let down by the noisy chap and his ladders but otherwise beautiful.
We had squid starters which was cooked to perfection and the aioli was fresh and zesty.
My main of salmon on an heirloom salad was delicious and my daughter's burger and sides was also really good.
The highlight was the service, only one member of staff in evidence but what a star she is! Frankie is so happy, friendly and delightful she made a birthday lunch just wonderful-thank you so much! Management take note!

Thank you for your lovely review. Rest assured that the noisy man with the ladders was a contractor and now that the flashing has been replaced on our flat roof we're hoping that our garden can return to a haven of tranquillity. Frankie is indeed a fantastic and bubbly member of the team - I will pass on your thanks!

See you soon,
Phil

“Gets Better”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Given its lack of all day dining establishments, thank goodness Cirencester has this restaurant to offer. This was our 3rd visit which demonstrates how little choice there is in the town but who cares if Graze continues in this vein. It was going to be quiet on a late Monday afternoon but our welcome was warm and the level of service never diminished...top marks! My starter of smoked mackerel fishcake with pickled vegetables was excellent as was my wife's of a goat's cheese and shallot tart. I thoroughly enjoyed a sirloin steak which represented great value whilst the other half's confit of duck was equally tasty and good value. If I had one quibble it was that despite being freshly made our lattes were lukewarm. That aside, this is a friendly eaterie offering good value meals of equally good quality. Keep it up I say!

Hello Arthur,

Thank you for your write up. It sounds as though we're hitting the nail on the head. Our sirloin and drink offer is going down very well: £15 for 225g (8oz in old money) of Hereford cross Angus beef and a pint of beer or glass of wine. It's all day on Monday and Tuesday and until 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Shame about the lattes - I hope that they were put into hot cups and will reiterate with the team that these tiny details are the difference between good and excellent service.

See you again soon, I trust.

Kind regards,
Phil

“Good quality ingredients make the difference”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We had a lovely dinner. Quality is worth paying for. Proper home-made pâté with real (not shop bought) marmalade and toasted brioche was a delicious starter. Tasty spatchcock chicken was accompanied by perfectly cooked fresh green beans. Nice handcut chips. Atmosphere and service good.

Hi Frankie,

Thanks for your kind words. You're right to think that we use great ingredients with passion and skill. It's very pleasing to know that it comes across in the presentation and flavour of the food.

I trust we'll be seeing you again soon.

Kind regards,
Phil

“Far from Grey.”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

Buzzy informal atmosphere, and nutty Bath Ales all in an interesting building.
Service friendly and accurate.
The menu of standards was supplemented by some interesting specials like a duck salad and a salmon creation.
The steaks were well sourced and tasty and the Cornish mussel starter with bacon delicious.
The wine list was good value and well selected. A bottle of Picpoul from France was fruity and fresh.
It not the cheapest place in town but all round the mix of sound cooking, interesting drinks and friendly atmosphere equals a good night out.
