Review of Riverside House

We stayed here for a Sat night when we were in Cirencester for a wedding. For the price and the location it was perfect. Although, it is by a main road so if you are a light sleeper you might nee the window closed!
We didn't have the breakfast but enjoyed the late check out (11am) compared to most places.
Arriving and leaving on weekend days meant that we didn't see anyone and were not welcomed - which didn't bother us, but tourists who might want information about the area might find this rather odd.
Clean, tidy rooms with a good shower.
Date of stay: August 2016
Room Tip: try to get a room not facing the road if you want a good nights sleep.

As the other reviews explain this is not a conventional B and B but I can highly recommend it. Well decorated, clean, all the usual facilities, good though not outstanding breakfast and relatively cheap. There is no reception and at weekends no staff in evidence except at the Security gates. This means very secure parking at the entrance but no porter so you carry your own bags upstairs along long corridors. It is very quiet, some noise from the adjacent main road but not too intrusive. Outside is a trout stream.

Add to tips for finding it. The last round-a-bout is at the fire station. It is also beyond the Mitsubishi security barrier so you have 24/7 security! I understand the restaurant facility may be unmanned at weekends because this is not an Hotel. My wife & I could find no thing to fault & it is 50% cheaper than local alternatives.

4 of us stayed here for 1 night as part of a 'boys' week-end (it's a long time since any of us was a boy). The location is a bit unusual as it's a conference centre for Mitsubishi and is accessed from what feels like the delivery yard of the DHL depot but don't let that put you off. The location is nice and quiet and an easy enough stroll into town. We got a taxi out to Stratton (small village on far side of Cirencester with popular pub) for just over £5 so you're in good range of everything. Beds were very comfortable (if a little close together for twin rooms) and bathroom was clean, modern and nicely functional. Breakfast was buffet style with no staff in evidence but plenty of everything and nice quality too. Would certainly use again if staying in Cirencester.

Room tip: We stayed in room 101 (!) which overlooked the river.

We booked this hotel but were a bit sceptical, but need not have been! We arrived quite late but a security guard met us at the gate where we got our keys and bill and were able to park our car securely. The rooms were very big and newly renovated and had everything you needed, it was like a standard hotel but better. We went for breakfast in the morning where the woman working was extremely friendly and helpful and recommended key places to see while in the Cotswolds.couldnt recommend this place more!
