“Home away from home in a beautiful location!”
Reviewed 12 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Spent a long weekend at Fairford - in a lovely cottage set in a beautiful village with lots to do. Great trails to walk from the cottage and yet at the doorstep of shops and cafes - great place for a family with children. Thoughtfully stocked with books and games for when the weather is not perfect! Huge thanks to Catherine and Clive for the hospitality.

“Excellent, everything we needed in a beautiful walking village near to Oxford, Salisbury, Bath, Stonehenge”
Reviewed 11 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Catherine and Clive are wonderful hosts. When we arrived there was bread, butter, milk, bottle of wine waiting for us. This 200 year old stable has been completely remodeled with new baths, kitchen and heating. So very clean. We so enjoyed hearing the birds from the patio doors. Although it is situated right on a road, the two foot thick walls protected us from the sounds. Out the front is acres of pasture and lovely foot path leading to The Ernest Cook Park.
The Village of Fairford is so sweet. We had to walk two blocks to our car after we unloaded, however this was very pleasurable. Great butcher in town. The best of all was the church bell practice on Friday night. This was a perfect location to have our friend from London visit us. Would be perfect for a family with two children with two bedrooms. 2 doors from the river with ducks. If you want a central location off the beaten track, this is it. Thanks Catherine and Clive.

Really cosy, clean cottage. Perfect Christmas break. Really nicely decorated. Lovely beds. Large enough for a small family.

“Wish we could have stayed here longer”
Reviewed 11 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Thanks Catherine for your helpful information and replies to our queries as it got closer to our arrival. After touring around it was lovely to be able to stay in one place for four nights. Wool Cottage is very comfortable, spacious and exceptionally well equipped. Some interesting books to read as well as local information to peruse. We were a couple and our adult son joined us but two couples would equally be very comfortable there as there were two bathrooms. Also a single bed in one of the bedrooms as well. Appreciated the goodies on arrival...a real treat! Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone. Thank you very much for everything

This is a very comfortable cottage with all the necessary facilities. There is plenty of space for five people in the two bedrooms, each with ensuite. The spacious lounge and kitchen adds to the attraction of the venue for visitors staying for a number of days.
