“Disappointed”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

My wife and I were taking our 2 friends out for afternoon tea. We arrived at 4.00pm and were left to find our own table. We sat down and minutes later the young waitress took our order. We ordered two High Teas at £17.95 per couple and one of our friends ordered coffee instead of tea. The tea and coffee came promptly and the sandwiches and cakes followed some time after. The high tea was most disappointing comprising of half a dozen tiny assorted sandwiches two tiny pieces of chocolate fudge cake and two little scones with clotted cream and jam and to top it all this was to be shared between two people. At 4.45pm the two young waitresses made it plain that they were packing up as they wanted to leave at 5.00pm. They had the affrontery to charge extra for the coffee with the whole price coming to £37.70.

We felt this was very BAD value for money served by two girls who did not want to be there.

Spoilt a good afternoon.

I just don't understand how a tea room in the Cotswolds can make tea using tea bags. My tea from the service station tasted better.

“Very helpful staff”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

All the other cafes were closed at 4.30pm but Mrs T Potts remained open and after we arrived three other couples poured in to catch the last cuppa and cake of the day. Fast service. Staff attitude was great, prices were reasonable.

“coeliacs - your waistline will hate you !!”

Mrs T Potts is a wonderful venue for the gluten allergic, my wife had a cream tea, not prepared by herself, for the first time in years. Delicious scones and cakes, and a really nice ham sandwich
very pleasant serving staff and not too expensive considering what a motorway services would charge!

“GF Food”
Reviewed 30 April 2013

What a delightful little t room. The gluten free menu was never ending! Scone £2, Lasagne £7.25, beer batter haddock £6.95, apple crumble, carrot cake, victoria sponge, treacle sponge £3.60 Need i say anymore!!! I opted for a scone which i took away with me, had i known how delicious it was going to be i would of had more but we were only on a quick stop. It was so nice to be able to go into a cafe and have a bite to eat like a "normal" person. The staff were really helpful and it was very busy in there. I have added this to the Coeliac website so others can benefit from the lovely food. They even do a delivery service, how amazing!
