Stayed here on business and was incredibly surprised at the high standard of accomodation and food on offer. The hotel is well appointed, and manages to merge the historical aspects of the building ( (c) 1688), with more modern contemporary twists.
Standard rooms are on the small side but that is to be expected in this kind of building (and it is a bit of a rabbit warren as well). They could do with a little less furniture in them if I was to be really picky - I had to move one chair to be able to use the other at the desk.
The B&B package is great value though, and the food is excellent - I had the 4 course set price menu and it was excellent. Drinks were a little pricey though.

Room Tip: If you want a little more space, probably best not to book a standard room.

Stayed here on business but will certainly go back on a leisure trip. Excellent service and awesome food. Attention to detail was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Grounds are really nice, would make an excellent location for a wedding. Nice touches in the room like a great selection of teas and coffees, Molton Brown toiletries and cuddly teddy bear on the bed.

Stayed here a few years ago and have visited a few times in the past to have a drink in the delightful gardens they have but decided to take advantage of the bed and breakfast deal they have for Jan and Feb if you book dinner as well and stayed the night . The hotel is one of the nicest we have stayed in and the room was immaculate , not particularly on the large size but a very comfortable bed and nice en suite with a bath and a plastic duck to play with . The evening meal was delicious , the servings are quite small but surprisingly do fill you up by the end of the serving and the lamb I had was superb and the service is very good and the waiter describes every item on your plate when serving , we did chuckle though when a neighbouring table had their cheese platter served and the waiter was going in to great detail of 15 different cheeses of which you could select 5 off and this must of taken at least 10 minutes . My only qualm is having a service charge added to my bill as would much prefer to tip the waiter or waitress personally . After a good nights sleep we had a very good breakfast and I had porridge with fresh cream before I got stuck in to my full english !

Fabulous one night stay at this old hotel. We have stayed before 6 years ago and our experience this time was the same. Fantastic room with old world charm. Dinner was a true taste extravaganza with a chocolate trio of deserts to die for. Staff were delightful and informative without being intrusive. Highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful relaxing romantic weekend.

We stayed at another hotel in Moreton in Marsh with our little dog. We enjoyed a light meal one night at the pub of this hotel - in their warm and lovely library!
We asked the hotel reception if the hotel was also dog friendly, and they said yes. However, the hotel website did not disclose this fact. Also, when I searched Trip Advisor for dog friendly hotels in the Cotswolds this hotel was not listed. It is a pity that we could have also stayed at this hotel with our little dog.
