“Great Location, good value”
Reviewed 17 March 2011

This hotel is in a lovely village with rail link to London. Hotel was comfortable and good value for money. Would stay here again but would request a room in the hotel as did not like the bedroom in the courtyard. Although it was a good size the shower was poor and the room was quite cold with the bedroom door going straight out into the courtyard.

I rarely comment on the many hotels that I stay in but I felt it neccessary to add a few words about the Redesdale. I have just spent a weekend waliking in the Moreton In Marsh area and had the pleasure of staying at the Redesdale Arms. In a nutshell, the location is smack bang in the centre of town, there is adequate parking at the rear and the price wasn't too expensive either. The rooms were very clean and cosy, adequately stocked with tea and coffee and the usual bathroom gifts.
The evening meal and breakfast were included in the price which, in my opinion, was to a very good standard.......I don't think I've had a breakfast as good anywhere !
Finally, and which is sometimes neglected in the hotel industry, the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would certainly pay another visit.

We booked late for a two night stay and were immediately told about all the offers available. There was only one room left, the man on reception was almost apologetic saying that it was in the old part of the building. The room was lovely. On the second night we were offered a change of room as a room with a bath had become available. Nothing was too much trouble - the food was lovely served by a delightful waitress.
All the staff were attentive. We will definiteley return.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to Room 1. A spacious room, with a beautiful king sized bed with a pretty canopy over-head with matching curtains which were in fact black-out curtains. Bed was extremely comfortable with no noise intruding at all. Furniture was well thought out with enough space for everything. The bathroom was clean and the fluffy white towels changed daily. The toiletries were plentiful and useful.

The complimentary decanter of sherry was welcome as was the bottled water. Breakfast was plentiful with everything from juices, cereals, fresh fruit and prunes to bacon, sausages, black pudding, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns. Brown and white toast and stunning coffee, freshly brewed.

Dinner was fantastic and such good value on the dinner, bed and breakfast deal that I checked in reception whether there was any restriction on our choice. No, I was told, enjoy whatever you like. Staff were helpful and courteous at all times. A terrific break and so convenient for all the Cotswalds had to offer. Thank you all so much. We will be back.

Spent 2 nights with another couple on the special offer in the traditional rooms. Cannot praise the welcome and service enough. The beds were comfortable and, as the website says the rooms are well equipped with hospitality tems and toiletries. I have marked down the sleep quality a little as in our room (10) there was a low "hum" all night which we could not place. Our friends were not similarly bothered. Dinner was superb. Breakfast was good but, we felt, not quite at the same very high standard as dinner. Moreton is an excellent base

Stayed 3 nights on one of the hotel special offers and were upgraded to one of the superior rooms (Batsford) - if that was intended to persuade us to stay again then I think it succeeded! Meals were very good, staff excellent and having a jacuzzi in the bath was an added extra! Nice touch of sherry in the rooms as well. If I was to make one quasi-negative comment it is that the hotel does not have what one would call a proper lounge with comfy chairs etc. But that is only a small point and would not stop us staying again. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your positive review and Im glad you appreciated the upgrade, we regularly upgrade guests when availability allows on the morning of arrival however this is subject to availability.
The £99 Dinner Bed & Breakfast Offer you took advantage of is proving to be one of our most popular packages ever and has now been extended in to March.
Thanks
