My wife and I stayed for only the one night but had a marvellous experience. On our arrival we were informed that we had been given a complimentary upgrade from the double room we originally booked to a junior suite. We were very impressed with the room, or rooms as it turned out because we had a sitting room with a large tv, complimentary sherry, tea and fresh coffee and mineral water. The bedroom was separate with its own tv,radio and an suite shower. Immaculately clean and lovely and warm. We had dinner and breakfast, both exceptional especially dinner. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to return. Just one down side (which is nothing to do with the hotel) the village itself is quite disappointing, not much there, Stow on the Wold is much better.

Room Tip: Try and pick a room in the rear courtyard, the front overlooks a very busy road.

Hotel is ideally located for exploring the Cotswolds. The hotel staff were very helpful & friendly. We went for a deluxe junior suite and couldn't fault it. Clean, spacious, warm, and very large bed! Also got a little garden area - we didn't get to use this due to the time of year (bit cold in jan!)
We stayed 1 night dinner, bed & breakfast, and 1 night just b&b. the evening meal was lovely and well worth the extra money! For an extra £40 per couple you got a 3 course meal & could pick anything off the menu! The breakfast was superb! Buffet style for majority but also things freshly made if you wanted, eg scrambled eggs, kippers etc. And it was proper sausages- much to the delight of my partner! Restaurant area was lovely. In the bar area they have a large open fire, nice and cosy! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel & would stay again!

We met here as a central point for a late Christmas family gathering and a 70th birthday celebration. A group of 5 couples all agreed that the service by the staff and the food were impressive. My wife & I had stayed here before, and nothing had changed, all the staff were happy and courteous. we would like to return.

Booked this hotel for a weekend away and we were thoroughly impressed. We paid extra to have one of the deluxe rooms, which are within a newly-built block to the rear of the site. A stone spiral staircase leads up to tastefully decorated rooms, which have modern features and complimentary brandy waiting for you. These rooms also have a small balcony allowing you to sit outside.

We dined in the hotel's restaurant on the first night and again, we were impressed. We were lucky to enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne each having booked through the hotel's new online booking site. The quality of the food and service was very high and we couldn't fault the portion size. A bar food menu is also available should you wish to dine more casually.

The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the Cotswolds, with Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden all within short driving distance. One very minor point about the hotel room is that you can't regulate the room temperature - it's automatic so our room over-heated but was easily solved by leaving the balcony door open. This by no means spoiled our stay and we would be happy to stay here again.

The staff, food and overall experience couldn't have been better. The manager Robert is a lovely chap and this clearly rubs off on his employees. This was our third visit and will not be our last.

This hotel was booked on the last minute but what a gem.
The room was a little more contemporary than we would have chosen and we werent given a choice but it was lovely.
We had our evening meal in the hotel and it was reasonably priced and delicious.
Staff were exceptionally friendly. Particularly the staff serving food. Nothing was too much trouble.
We waited at reception a while to check in and one of the girls checked us in in the end. Then when we were going out for our luggage the receptionist made no attempt to say hello which we found overall very unusual. Maybe he was preoccupied.
We would love to stay again, but maybe in the main building where I believe the rooms are more traditional.
Overall though I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 19 which had its own front door ie like a little chalet almost. But lovely.

We decided earlier in the week to go away for a night and booked a Sat night at this hotel. What a fabulous time we had. Lovely room, car parking directly outside the door, complimentary decanter of sherry which was a nice touch Room immaculate as was the bathroom. Had dinner in the bar and not in the restaurant, lovely meal. Breakfast was top notch. There had been an overnight frost, so Reception even had de-icer to loan to people, the attention to detail was excellent. Staff extremely friendly. Will def, def, def go back there again and would highly recommend it to others wanting a stay in the Cotswolds.
