This has to be one of the cosiest and most welcoming cottages I have stayed in. The owners have managed to strike just the right balance between that home-from-home feeling and the feeling of being treated to special touches whilst on holiday.
When we arrived the fire was laid ready for us to light, and I must say that on our first night there was nothing more satisfying than sitting in front of the lovely stone fireplace watching the flames flicker and listening to the logs crackle. Sufficient logs were provided for that night but I would recommend that you bring or buy locally further supplies to keep you going - it's too good to miss out on! Incidentally, the central heating boiler if needed is unbelievably easy to operate and warms the rooms up very quickly.
The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking a feast (it has more rings than I could think of using not to mention ovens!) and every tool and implement I needed was there. Off the kitchen at the rear is a lovely shower room - one of the touches of luxury. Both bedrooms are very pretty and seem to be just in keeping with what you would expect from a Cotswold cottage.
We didn't use the rear patio area but I imagine it would be beautiful sitting out there in the summer as it's secluded and sheltered.
Other points worth mentioning are the ease of free, unlimited parking right outside the property, and the choice of good pubs and restaurants all within less than 5 minutes' walk.
I will certainly be booking again. It has all the charm of a Cotswold cottage without being twee or 'chocolate-boxy' and as I said, I could quite easily live there given half a chance!

Arrived on a sunny evening, opened the front door into a traditional oak beamed living room. Log fire ready laid for us (not that we needed it, it's summer !)
Tea, coffee and wine and a note from Joanne to greet us.
All new inside, comfortable and cosy. Loads of hot water, fab shower!
Pretty little garden where we all sat drinking.
Good spot with whole of Moreton on our doorstep.
Great weekend. Booking again for next year.
