“Charming hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

This was a surprise early christmas present for me and it was lovely. The hotel has lots of character and is really cosy.
We had a nice room at the front of the hotel (room 110). It was clean and really comfortable. It was quite small but we did not find that any problem at all. There was good choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. They also have nice sitting rooms with books and games that guests are able to use.
We could hear the street, but that was only if I was purposely listening for it. I can't say I really noticed it and it didn't keep me awake. We could also hear people moving about in other rooms, but again it did not keep us up and this is what you would expect in a very old building.
The breakfast was great, with the choice of hot and cold food. Hot breakfasts were made to order rather than a buffet which was really good.
The staff were all very friendly and I would stay here again.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. The room that you had is one of our smallest double rooms so I’m especially pleased that you found it comfortable. In the bar there is even a bigger choice of 8 different flavoured Teas.
We are all really pleased that you enjoyed the food. It is a treat to start the day on a full breakfast and we try to make it extra special by cooking everything fresh to order for our guests.
I look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future.
Kind regards
Duncan Craig

We chose this hotel to celebrate out Wedding Anniversary as my wife wanted to revisit her childhood days staying at The White Hart and it did not disappoint. The Staff were all very professional, friendly and helpful throughout our stay.An unexpected but very welcome upgrade to a feature room was the icing on the cake and made us feel pretty special. We will certainly be back.

My Wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a Festive night away in Moreton-in-Marsh.
After reviewing various Hotels in the town we chose the White Hart Hotel. What a good choice this was!
We were initially given a disabled room outside the Hotel and asked to be moved to a different room.
This was no problem to the friendly staff and we were given a first floor room at the front of the hotel.
We booked a table in the Restaurant which again was a good choice as when we arrived to take our table, we noticed the Restaurant was full.
The food was excellent and the full English breakfast the following day maintained this standard.

The only downside was the lack of hot water in the morning.
Would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: We were initially allocated a dis-abled room with a very sparse bathroom. If we were to visit again...

Very nice hotel, in a very good location on the high street, Moreton-in-Marsh is a lovely small Cotswold village. Our room overlooked the high street, whilst some people have commented on street noise we did not find this a problem at all. We had evening meal in the restaurant, advisable to book as the restaurant is not very big. The service in the restaurant was first class, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Would definately stay here again.

We stayed here for one night after a day in the Costwolds. It was adequate for one night. The room was a little tired. We had a room at the from of the hotel. I suspect from some of the other reviews this room was one which had not been refurbished.

We asked if there was a room at the back of the hotel when we checked in. There was bit it was £40 more. We decided not to bother paying the extra. Although we were at the front it was not not noisy.

Breakfast was adequate. The usual choices, cererals, fruit and a choice of cooked food.

Wonderful hotel, well appointed rooms. The restaurant is excellent, the partridge starter and venison main was superb. Fully recommend the Argentinian Malbec wine and Cockburn's port which complemented the cheese board. The young waiting staff excelled!
Fully recommend this hotel as a base to explore the Cotswold's - Enjoy!

Room Tip: Room facing the main high street and Market Hall will not disappoint.

We have just come back from our Annual Family bed breakfast and evening meal this was our 3rd at the White Hart. The staff made our party of 26 very welcome, Bar food at lunch time good value especially with the draft beer. (twelve days especially). Evening meal was almost like al a cart, the menus were sent in advance, with a very large and varied sellection. Considering there were 26 of us there were no complaints about the quality of food of any of the courses, or the service. Scollops starter, Fillet, Venison and Loin of cod mains were of particular good quality, desert were fantastic. A good sellection of reasonable priced wines. We retired to the back room to continue sampling Bar. The rooms were clean and of a good size, rooms 201-203 in particular, the steps to the rooms are quite steep, but I know they have an annex if one or two of the party acces problems. The building has loads of history and character it is a step back in time the town is full of interesting shops.
