We stayed in Moreton over Christmas and frequented this pub a little too often! Roaring fire, relaxing atmosphere and knowledgable friendly staff. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. This pub is exactly what visiting the Cotswolds is all about.

Dear Jen Gooders
Thank you for your kind comments. I’m not sure that you can ever frequent a Pub too much over the Christmas period! I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again.

We were lucky enough to find a special deal for two nights at the White Hart Royal Hotel just after Christmas. On arrival, we were charmed by the historic exterior and interior of the hotel, and the welcome we got from staff more than matched the initial good impressions. The hotel staff - from reception to restaurant to cleaning staff - were friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us.

My boyfriend is vegan, and although nothing on the menu was suitable for him, we had let the hotel know in advance and the chef had prepared a special vegan menu for him to choose from: what wonderful service!

Our room was at the back of the hotel and was lovely and peaceful - I do think it a shame that the furniture in our room was rather modern and didn't quite match the historic atmosphere of other areas, but it was nevertheless a pleasant room.

The Snug Bar was fabulous, with a warm fire, plenty of atmosphere and very reasonable drinks prices. Food in the restaurant was good and breakfasts were plentiful with lots of choice. Overall a wonderful stay, would certainly recommend this.

What a truly lovely place! This was our second stay and we were very happy to be back. This time we stayed over Christmas and had our one year old with us. The White Hart has a great team of staff, led by Duncan, who were so welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. They bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble for them. This led to a very relaxing break! The room was large and very comfortable and had lovely touches such as a card and presents left in the room. Everything from the mulled wine and mince pies on Christmas eve round a wood fire to the scrummy evening three course dinners were fantastic. The hotel has lots of lounge space, beautifully decorated, to relax in and the snug bar is just so atmospheric and cosy. This hotel sets itself very high standards across all areas and delivers; but maintains it's warm and welcoming charm. We didn't want to leave.... so we stayed another night! Which the staff sorted out for us very efficiently. We were pulling out of the car park on our way home when the chef reminded us we still had baby food in their fridge (which they had stored and heated when needed without any fuss) and ran and got it for us! We've stayed in expensive places that claim to be five star but don't come close to the service and atmosphere in the White Hart.
It was home away from home, a really lovely Cotswolds country Christmas. Thank you very much! We will be back.... soon!

We enjoyed a three night stay over Christmas and had a wonderful time. We were welcomed at the door and shown to our room which was big, warm and very cosy. There was a welcoming box of chocolates as well as a basket of fruit. The bed proved to be about the most comfortable bed that my wife and myself have slept in. Whilst it was on the road side ogf the hotel the double glazing kept it very quiet indeed.

The lounges are more than ample for the hotel and nice and peaceful

The food was wonderful, the menu for the stay was so good and extensive that we had to show it to our friends - it was impresive. The restaurat staff were so helpful and would ask the chefs to accomodate any changes that we required to the menu. We had a cream tea Boxing Day afternoon.

We had a eally enjoyable Christmas, thank you everyone at thte White Hart Royal

Thank you for your lovely comments, we always really appreciate it when guests take the time to write such great feedback.
I’m pleased that you enjoyed Christmas with us this year, and it was our pleasure to offer you gifts and a small festive hamper. We all try to make it a wonderful Christmas away from home.
Due to the age of the hotel, the rooms are all different shapes and sizes and I’m pleased you enjoyed the size of your room and felt the bed very comfortable.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future.

I stayed at the hotel for the second time with my partner as a birthday treat from him. This time we had a bigger superior room which was very clean and comfortable ,a nice bathroom with shower and bath.
Staff were again extremely helpful ,friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. We had dinner the first night and the breakfasts were great with plenty of choice.
Look forward to staying again sometime soon.

This was a surprise early christmas present for me and it was lovely. The hotel has lots of character and is really cosy.
We had a nice room at the front of the hotel (room 110). It was clean and really comfortable. It was quite small but we did not find that any problem at all. There was good choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. They also have nice sitting rooms with books and games that guests are able to use.
We could hear the street, but that was only if I was purposely listening for it. I can't say I really noticed it and it didn't keep me awake. We could also hear people moving about in other rooms, but again it did not keep us up and this is what you would expect in a very old building.
The breakfast was great, with the choice of hot and cold food. Hot breakfasts were made to order rather than a buffet which was really good.
The staff were all very friendly and I would stay here again.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. The room that you had is one of our smallest double rooms so I’m especially pleased that you found it comfortable. In the bar there is even a bigger choice of 8 different flavoured Teas.
We are all really pleased that you enjoyed the food. It is a treat to start the day on a full breakfast and we try to make it extra special by cooking everything fresh to order for our guests.
I look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future.
Kind regards
Duncan Craig
