Well worth the small entrance fee to see all the aircraft parts, paintings and memorabilia. Gerry Tyack made us very welcome and had plenty of time for a chat. Ensure you don't miss it when in that neck of the woods.

This small private museum is a charming testament to an era when Britain was at the vanguard of defending the free world. The can do attitude of the RAF seeps the place.

The owner/ curator of this amazing place is a RAF veteran. He has single handedly created a spectacular memorial to the bombers that made such history. He has a huge collection of parts , documents , photos and other artifacts that rival any large museum. In fact any large museum would drool over what this man has done. He is an OBE himself with quite a history and it shows. After you visit you must Google him to realize what an honor it was to meet him. I had the good fortune of speaking with him for some time about RAF history and his career and was very moved by his dedication to the service and preservation of its history. If anywhere near this town you must make time to see it.

Upon arrival with Rob and Gnorman the Gnome we were met by Gerry Tyack who runs the Museum. Like others, I did expect it to be bigger however, once you start talking to Gerry and properly looking at the artifacts which are contained in the museum it was totally fascinating. Gerry recalled a few of his memories and described some of his experiences. He loved our novelty traveller who we had with us and his sense of humour came out strong. Gerry even fetched Annie to meet Gnorman and we had a bit of a photo shoot.

It will be such a shame when this place closes. Gerry is the heart of this place. All contributions go to the RAF.

Gerry, Thank you so much for spending time with us. You touched our hearts and our lives are definitely richer for having met you.

:-)
