This is a great way to see a wide variety of birds up close and learn about them. The demonstrations were excellent: the staff were knowledgeable and passionate the birds.

I wouldnt say you could spend a whole day here, but certainly a few hours.. The displays themselves were brilliant, the falconer really knew his birds, and they in turn knew him! He was extremely knowledgable and it was very interesting learning things we never knew! Between the displays the centre itself was quite small, and although there were alot of birds to see, many of them were in small aviaries and were behind boarded ones with peep-holes. The Centre could do with a bit of a spruce-up, the public toilets left a lot to be desired! That said, the displays made up for everything and I would recommend this Centre to families with maybe older children - I think younger ones would become bored quite quickly as the Falconer left the birds to their own devices, which often meant waiting for them to come down out the trees!!

Went here whilst on holiday for a week in the Cotswolds and enjoyed it so much that we went back a few days later! Saw 2 and a half displays (arrived half way through) each time we went and found them so enjoyable and interesting. Was lucky enough to stroke a 6 week old owl. Would definitely go back.

Great day out at the Falconry Centre en route home from a holiday in the Cotswolds. We have been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it so were keen to bring our 3 year old along to experience being so close to these amazing birds. We stayed for 2 demonstrations (popping over to the arboretum cafe for lunch) and it is clear that the falconers love the birds and get great pleasure from 'flying' them. They were knowledgable, amusing and showed the birds nothing but respect and care. It has been a hot day with not much wind so the birds weren't able to glide or soar but we still had a very enjoyable time watching them. Highlight of the day was when the young female handler bought out Georgie, a lovely little owl and got the kids in the audience to put the glove on and have Georgie fly to them. Our 3 year old decided she wanted to do it and the handler was fantastic, helping support her arm when the owl landed on her, absolutely brilliant. Some of the cages do look a little tired and like they could do with a revamp but on the whole, I would recommend this place to anyone. It has a real charm about it and I believe that is due to the falconers who appear to genuinely love what they do...it makes it a very enjoyable experience.

We have a family membership to this Falconry Centre and visit regularly The Staff are friendly and dedicated to the birds in their care The displays vary due to weather conditions and no two days out are ever the same and we visit quite often . Breeding and Conservation are important issues and the knowledge we have gained from staff is fascinating.A good day out for the family not too much walking (suits me) interacting with birds of prey (for my grandchildren)
