Visited the Sitara after a couple of friends mentioned how good it was. On arrival we were greeted and led upstairs to the main seating area - as others have commented, very tastefully decorated and a nice ambience. The menu is original and well executed. We started with a couple of poppadums which arrived promptly with a selection of good quality pickles and sauces. From that point on, we knew we were in for a treat. I then had prawn pathia on puri - really good, the puri was very light and complemented the pathia nicely. For mains, I had a lamb and spinach curry with a keema nan, while my wife had a brinjal, aloo and chana massala. All were very, very good - especially the keema nan which was light as a feather.

The service was swift and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. This place hasn't been open very long but I predict it will do well - it richly deserves to,

Went with friends on the last bank holiday in May.
The interior of the restuarant is superb, they have done an excellent job, the decor is very tasteful, and in keeping with an old building.
The staff are very friendly, and the service excellent, and we had a very enjoyable evening.
The food was excellent from the popadoms and dips to the main meals, which were all well presented, and very enjoyable.
The Sitara is more upmarket, but this is not reflected in the prices, which are a little more than the competition, but not enough to make you think that it is expensive.
Well worth a visit.

Went here with my mother and father and we all had a lovely time. The staff are hilarious and so polite, and the place was spotless, couldn't fault anything. This may have beaten Hassan Balti. Great for couples, families and nights out with friends. I will be visiting again very soon and would recommend.

Well what a great find, only been open a couple of weeks, went on Friday night & not very busy early doors, but all the better for us !! Ordered some poppadoms to nibble on with the pickle tray, very enjoyable they were too, tried the marinated Lamb for starters, excellent choice it was too, then onto the curried beef, that was also very tasty, the whole meal was very very good. Could not fault it, service was efficient but not intrusive, I look forward to a revisit, having tried the other 2 Indians in Moreton in Marsh, this is by far the better option.
