The food is good, not that varied as it is exactly the same in the restaurant as in the bar. Freshly cooked and hot.

Beautiful courtyard to enjoy a drink on a sunny afternoon. Didn't eat myself but the food looked lovely.

We rang the White Hart Royal on a Sunday afternoon looking for somewhere to have an evening meal. As the weather looked decidedly dodgy we ideally wanted somewhere that would let us eat inside as we have a 9 month old puppy who is well behaved and quiet. Our son had eaten here and recommended the food and the warm reception he had got. We arrived about 7pm and entered the 'Snug', there was already a bustling trade going on with nearly all the tables full with people eating or waiting to eat. We managed to find a small table for the two of us and parked our dog. The menu is comprehensive whilst not being too overwhelming with starters, sharing plates and mains. There is a separate sweet menu that we never made it too. There is a good selection of beers and wines, sold by the small/large glass and bottle. There are a couple of local real ales on hand pump and several lagers and a good selection of bottled beers. We chose a sharing plate of hummus with sundried tomatoes for a starter and fish and chips for a main with a very nice glass of Chenin Blanc and a pint of the local beer. The meals are ordered at the bar and each table is individually numbered. The starter was very nice but for the price a little on the small side for two people, a well presented glass tub of hummus with breadsticks, a small amount of crudités, a few olives and a tomato sauce. It tasted lovely but no sooner had you started than it was gone. The main was better with a good size piece of well cooked fish in crispy batter on nice chips with a ramekin of mushy peas. We had to ask for the tartare sauce but that too was lovely when it arrived. We finished the meal with coffee and a liquorice and peppermint tea. The total coat was just under £50, which I thought was very good seeing as we had enjoyed the food, liked the drinks, had nice surroundings that were dog friendly and had great service. The service was particularly good with all the staff being pleasant, courteous and attentive. The atmosphere is of a country pub whilst having an air of sophistication and the setting is very well done. We would definitely go back and I would recommend it to people wanting to eat. The only reason this hasn't got a five star rating is the small starter portion and the self service aspect, other than that it was perfect.

We ate at lunchtime on market day in Moreton, so the menu was restricted, however we sat in a sunny and sheltered courtyard, decorated with fabulous hanging baskets. We were made to feel instantly welcome by our server Magdalena, she seemed unable to do enough for us, fetching our drinks while we thought about our food order, bringing any extras we asked for, and was able to chat and be amusing while serving. The food was very good, and we looked at the usual menu on leaving and it looked excellent for both evening and lunchtime. Not expensive, worth every penny!
