“Great lamb shank”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

We were looking for a restaurant that was open for business in the late afternoon (not easy to find between 3 and 5:00) and came upon Marshmallow. What we found was friendly service in a charming tearoom with wonderful lamb shank. Marshmallow has a menu of English favorites nicely done. And you can't beat their hours!

“A Delightful Tearoom”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

This was my first visit but certainly not the last, The staff were very friendly and accommodating.and deserve the awards that they have won for their tearoom. They produce hot and cold meals all day so when I arrived at lunch time on awet day it was wonderful to have home made soup, cottage pie followed by my all time childhood favourite of spotted dick and custard!! Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

“Well worth a try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2013 via mobile

En-route to a Dorset holiday stopped off for lunch. We have used this delightful restaurant previously and were keen to see if it lived up to memory! We were not disappointed and enjoyed our bangers and mash, with a welcoming cuppa. Definitely one to use if in the town.

“A favorite tea room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013

A nice, friendly tea room with a nice atmosphere. Good selection of teas and pastries. Indoor and outdoor seating in an enclosed patio. Friendly, helpful waitpersons. I have been coming to the Marshmallow on every visit to the region for forty years. It's always a refreshing stop. Recommended.
